Kat Leong shared thisFrom the first day I met Nick Mehta, he was the most warm, personable, and engaging human I’d ever crossed paths with. Somehow, despite being one of the busiest people I know, he makes every person feel like they are the most important. I spent just over six years working in his orbit, and watching the way he led has truly inspired my professional journey. He always puts others first, no matter what is going on, and truly leads with a human-first mentality that is inspiring. When he lost his daughter, Summer, earlier this year, I was devastated for him. And even while battling that sadness, he still continued to put others first. So it was the honor of a lifetime to partner with The Trevor Project to bring an experience to our attendees at Pulse this past week, in honor of Summer Mehta. Witnessing the outpouring of love, support, and stories of belonging from the Pulse community was exactly what I was hoping for. Thanks for reminding me that caring for others is healing.

Kat Leong shared thisPulse 2026 is a wrap! 🗺️✨ My 6th in-person Pulse, and this one hit different. I spend six months building an experience I hope our community loves. Seeing them actually live it — the conversations, the energy, the connections — that's why I do this work. This year's highlights: ~ The community showed up. 1,700+ CS, Customer Education, and Community leaders in one room is something you have to feel to understand. ~ The party was epic. Full stop. ~ And 2 Puppies of Pulse found their forever homes. 🐾 If that's not a mic drop moment, I don't know what is. Thank you to everyone who made the trip to Las Vegas. See you next year. 👀 And to my incredible team who brought this to life beside me — none of this happens without you. Leena Goulding, Aisha Kothawala, Lauren Olerich, Matt Hensler, Tori Jeffcoat, Sonia Moaiery, Varsha Dinesh, Trisha Mistry, Janine Mackie, CEM, CMP, DES, Tara Daly, Hayley Cromwell, Davielle Shorter, and so so many more. #Pulse2026

Kat Leong shared thisHeading to Pulse? Give this a read so you know how to make the most out of Day 0!Kat Leong shared thisAlright… this is not just a “grab your badge and keep it moving” moment. This is where Pulse actually starts. If you’re heading to Gainsight Pulse 2026, let’s talk about the Opening Expedition 👇🏽 🧭 The journey starts the second you walk in This is your first real touchpoint with the experience. This is where: • You get your bearings • You see who’s in the room • You start reading the energy of the conference And if you’re paying attention… you can already tell what kind of week you’re about to have. 👕 Pick your team. Yes, it matters. You’ll have the chance to join a team and grab your Pulse t-shirt… and this is the only time you can do it. Seems small. It’s not. Because now you’ve got: • A built-in group • A conversation starter • A reason to actually talk to people instead of hovering near the bar (we’ve all seen it) 🤝 This is your networking warm-up Light bites, drinks, and a room full of people who all showed up for the same reason. But here’s the difference… Some people will: “Nice to meet you, what company are you at?” …and keep it surface level all week. Others will: • Ask better questions • Find their people early • Start conversations they’ll build on for the next 3 days Decide which one you’re going to be before you walk in. 💡 Here’s how I’d play it Don’t treat this like a pre-game. Treat it like your starting line. • Talk to 3–5 people you don’t know • Ask what they’re hoping to get out of Pulse • Share what you’re focused on right now • Pay attention to who you want to reconnect with later Because the best conferences aren’t built on random interactions… They’re built on intentional ones that compound over a few days. I’ll be there capturing the moments, the conversations, and the energy as it unfolds. If you see me at the Opening Expedition… come say hi. Or better yet, tell me what “team” you’re choosing 👀 Gainsight #PULSEVEGAS2026 #PULSE2026 #CustomerSuccess

Kat Leong liked thisKat Leong liked thisJason M. Lemkin gets everyone all fired up when he writes about replacing his VP of Marketing with AI. But there's something we're all missing from his story that proves that marketing is in fact not replaceable by AI. Jason and SaaStr Ai make money by selling event tickets and sponsorships to their flagship conferences. Over many years they have built the premium event brand for SaaS (and now AI) operators by curating the best speakers, the best VCs, the best hands-on content, the best networking experiences, etc. And Jason + team have spent YEARS publishing + promoting content that speaks to their audience and positions the SaaStr brand as the path forward for operators in messy times. What do you call all of that? There's a word for it that's at the tip of my tongue. Oh yeah, that's called Marketing. And this type of brand marketing is not being done by the "AI Marketing VP". Would Jason let Claude fully curate the SaaStr agenda? Select the event location? Come up with all the core ideas that define the SaaStr narrative? Arrange the on-site networking? Design delightful on-site experiences for the attendees? Those parts of the event all require a degree of taste that AI isn't well suited for. At least not yet. So what did Jason + team build? An AI that helped automate campaign creation and execution against their registration and sponsorship goals. It sent + reported on emails. Super cool and valuable. But their "AI Marketing VP" would fail miserably at its goals without the strong SaaStr brand behind it. Brand *is* marketing. And more important than ever when anyone with enough tokens can build all sorts of clever campaign automations like the SaaStr team built.

Kat Leong liked thisKat Leong liked thisJust finished two weeks on the road. Probably met close to 100 companies. Here is what I took away. 1️⃣ The long tail is a broadloom conversation now. The sum of those small renewals, is anything but small. 2️⃣ You can not hire your way out of this - The unit economics don't work, never have. Finally people are figuring it out. 3️⃣ Individuals aren't waiting - Meaningful number are building on their own. Small tasks to save time. Not waiting for budgets or company wide strategies. 4️⃣ Long tail means the complete journey - there is a realisation this is not just reminder emails, or automated playbook triggers, but automating the quote and the customer check out. This is the hardest part to solve. 5️⃣ Nobody is talking about the end customer experience - every conversation centres on the vendor. renewals rates, cost to serve, NRR. But what does the experience look like for the person actually responsible for the renewal? Let's WOW the customer. 6️⃣ Fear of AI driven automation is real - lack of trust and concern on "taking the human out" but for the long tail the human hasn't been there most of the time anyway. Fear of getting it wrong is valid, but doing nothing is worse. To top it all off Chuck Ganapathi at #pulse dropped the hammer. Gainsight, the company that defined customer success is becoming a services business. When the platform company starts doing the work, that tells you where the industry is headed, and its music to our ears. It is what we have been building towards. A huge thank you to everyone who came to our CS and Renewals Breakfast in San Fran, booked time with me for 1:1s, stopped by our Booth at Pulse and grabbed me in the hallways between the breakout sessions. Every single conversation makes us sharper. Special thanks to Gainsight for putting on an incredible event, we were proud to be a sponsor and contribute in a small way to the CS community.

Kat Leong liked thisKat Leong liked thisThe best event photographers don’t just follow the shot list. They start there. The assignment is usually clear: keynote coverage, award moments, executive handshakes. Those images matter and they need to be captured. But the images clients end up using all year for marketing? Packed networking rooms. Genuine attendee reactions. The energy that makes someone feel like they missed something. The photographers I trust most are self-sufficient. They understand the objective well enough to adapt without needing constant direction — while still delivering the assignment. Exceptional work isn’t just technical execution. It’s judgement.

One thing we see in every scaling GTM org: Reps keep asking the same questions, even when documentation exists. Not because people aren't trained... But because knowledge lives everywhere. - Slack threads - Outdated docs - PM tribal memory - One-off answers in someone’s head - The “only happens sometimes” answers The best enablement content is useless when it's buried.

A booking tool should reduce friction, not create a detour. If your scheduling flow feels disconnected from your site, you lose intent halfway through. Better booking journeys align messaging, timing options, and trust signals from first click to confirmation. https://lnkd.in/eAscsvkz #ux #booking #smallbusiness #conversion

Revenue grows when friction disappears. Most revenue teams are drowning in manual work. Lead scoring by hand. Generic email sequences. Proposal delays. Churn blindness. The average sales rep spends 65% of their time on non-selling activities. That is where the revenue leak happens. AI removes the drag. THE 4-STAGE REVENUE PIPELINE STAGE 1: LEAD AI chatbots capture inbound leads. Enrichment tools qualify them. Intelligent routing sends them to the right owner. Result: 3x faster qualification. Human role: You approve the routing rules. AI executes. Tools: HubSpot, Drift, Clearbit The goal is right leads, not more leads. Quality over volume. STAGE 2: NURTURE AI personalises email sequences based on behaviour. Follow-ups trigger automatically. Content recommendations match intent signals. Result: 2x engagement rates. Human role: You set the guardrails. AI personalises. Tools: Outreach, Apollo, Clay Always on, never generic. Every prospect gets the right message at the right time. STAGE 3: CLOSE AI drafts proposals and pricing. CRM intelligence scores deals. Objection handling gets AI assistance. Result: 30% faster deal cycles. Human role: You negotiate. AI drafts. Tools: Gong, PandaDoc, Salesforce Faster decisions, fewer stalls. Your reps focus on relationships, not paperwork. STAGE 4: RETAIN AI monitors customer health. Upsell and cross-sell recommendations appear automatically. Renewal flows run without manual intervention. Result: 15% increase in lifetime value. Human role: You intervene when AI alerts you. Tools: ChurnZero, Gainsight, Vitally Retention is growth. Keeping customers is cheaper than finding new ones. THE FEEDBACK LOOP Customer insights from retention improve lead targeting. Retention data sharpens qualification. Expansion patterns predict best-fit leads. This is what makes AI-driven RevOps compounding, not linear. Every stage feeds the next. THE DATA FOUNDATION AI needs clean data to work. Single source of truth. Real-time sync across tools. Enriched customer records. AI amplifies data quality. Good or bad. Fix your data first, or AI will scale your problems. COMMON FRICTION REMOVED ✓ Manual lead scoring ✓ Generic email blasts ✓ Proposal delays ✓ Churn blindness IMPLEMENTATION TIMELINE Phase 1 (Month 1-2): Lead capture and enrichment Phase 2 (Month 3-4): Nurture automation Phase 3 (Month 5-6): Close intelligence Phase 4 (Month 7+): Retention and expansion You do not need to do everything at once. Start small. Build momentum. START HERE Lead enrichment plus email sequences. 2-4 week setup. Immediate impact. This is the fastest path to measurable results. WHY THIS MATTERS AI does not replace sales teams. It removes drag. Your best reps spend their time on high-value conversations, not admin work. From lead to lifetime value, automated. What is your biggest revenue friction point right now? Follow me and repost to help others scale revenue operations.

Most companies in competitive markets aren’t losing money because of bad sales teams… They’re losing money because of how long it takes to FIND customers who are ready to buy. And the cost of that delay? Far more damaging than you think. In our latest breakdown, we explain why remote BDR teams are becoming the secret weapon in high-competition industries like Energy, Telecoms & MSPs — and how they drastically reduce acquisition costs without hiring internally. Every GTM team says they want better data. Here’s the uncomfortable truth: The cost of bad, siloed data isn’t just inefficiency, it’s missed revenue. Fjuri was built as the GTM data model: 🚀 One source of truth across sales and marketing 🚀 Real-time attribution and ROI tracking 🚀 AI/ML-driven lead prioritization that feeds directly into pipeline velocity The advantage isn’t “more data.” It’s unified data that tells you what to do next. If your data isn’t powering action, what’s it costing you?

My first revenue management role wasn’t guest rooms. It was function space. After 4.5 years in banquet operations, I was brought into a Function Space Revenue Manager role, in downtown Chicago. I understood how space really gets used—and wasted. There as no system in place. I had to verbally harass sales to follow our rooms-to-space ratios. I tracked every booked meeting, in Excel, moving meeting rooms to protect straight-line availability. It worked—but it was manual, slow, and frustrating. For them. And for me. Now, at IDeaS Revenue Solutions, I play around with the Function Space Revenue Management dashboard and think about how different that job would have been. Clear visibility into how space and rooms demand connect. Data to support better decisions. Fewer spreadsheets. Fewer emails. Fewer annoyed sales managers. Function space revenue management isn’t new. But shared insight into space decisions changes the conversation.

As we wrapped up 2025 at Inn-Flow, one thing was clear: hotel operators are asking for less manual work and more clarity — and they’re getting it. Our Inn-Flow Wrapped: 2025 Year in Review captures what that looked like in practice: • Accounting teams processing massive volumes with more automation • Labor teams forecasting smarter and staying compliant • Facilities teams moving faster with mobile-first workflows • Leaders finally seeing operations and financials in one connected view These numbers aren’t vanity metrics. They represent time saved, risk reduced, and better decisions made every day inside hotel management companies. I’m incredibly proud of our customers and our team for building and using technology that actually makes hotel operations easier. If you’re curious what modern hotel operations looked like in 2025 (and where they’re headed next), it’s worth a read 👇 https://lnkd.in/eX23G359 #Hospitality #HotelOperations #HotelAccounting #LaborManagement #HotelTech #InnFlow

"Agentic AI can realistically save four to six hours a week on administrative tasks for an individual manager, giving team leaders more time to spend on human connections" So if I am an operator, I am asking "how many managers do you have across all your locations? What would 250-300 hours a year do for your business?" the answer is obviously a lot. These managers are the heartbeat of the food service industry.
