Matt Cynamon reposted thisMatt Cynamon reposted thisToday, we’re introducing Supertake: a new platform incubated within Union Square Ventures that leverages frontier AI and trading agents to transform your unique takes on the world into real, shareable investment portfolios. Until now, we’ve invested at the mercy of financial managers, ETFs, and single stocks promoted by grifters and algorithms. But with Supertake, you simply tell the agent what you believe in natural language: "humanoid robots are coming to every home." From there Supertake actively manages your take and rebalances when necessary, staying aligned with your goals. You can talk to each of your smart portfolios directly from the app or over email, and soon on iMessage/SMS. And Supertake proactively lets you know how things are going, buys when the time is right, and sells when it's time to cash in, all on its own via Autopilot or with your direct approval. Once you've created a take, you can share it with your friends. If somebody loves your idea, they can fork it and invest. And if you’re feeling competitive: the Supertake Leaderboard showcases the best performing takes in the community. Today, Supertake supports public US-listed equities. Soon, we'll be adding crypto, derivatives, and even prediction markets, meaning there's no take that's too complicated to turn into a Supertake. Starting right now Supertake is in private beta and accepting waitlist signups at supertake.com. Hope you'll give it a try!

Matt Cynamon reposted thisMatt Cynamon reposted thisEN: Thrilled to share that Addi was recognized by Fortune today as one of the 50 Companies that are changing the world in its Change the World 2026 list (the only Colombian company on the list). We've had a banner year so far, delivering record growth, strong margins, 2+ years of positive IFRS Net Income, as well as a few incredible recognitions. Yet this one feels quite personal. Our purpose at Addi is to create pride and abundance for our customers - individuals and merchants. While we've built a great business, I'm proudest of the fact that we've built a company that is delivering financial inclusion and social change in our country. Growing up I witnessed firsthand how tragic it can be when the financial sector works against the people it is supposed to serve. We work every day to change that. Today Addi connects nearly 4 million consumers with close to 60,000 partner merchants across 1,050 municipalities in Colombia — nearly 95% of the national territory. Many of them are accessing a financial tool for the first time, one they didn't have access to before. As I told the team yesterday, doing what we do is not easy. We run a closed loop payment network, build and operate our own stack, try to ship new products, all while navigating a complex and ever changing environment. Grateful to call them my partners and get to work with them every day. Gracias! #FortuneChangeTheWorld #FinancialInclusion #Addi

Matt Cynamon reposted thisMatt Cynamon reposted thisData centers have become the most controversial buildings in America. Varun Palivela and I built Rune to be different. Today, we’re announcing our $40 million Series A, led by Spark Capital, with Union Square Ventures, Lowercarbon Capital, Activate Capital, Timeless, Logos, and Hersh Desai joining alongside existing investor Vestas Ventures. Total funding is now $53.5 million. We're also unveiling RELIC, Renewable Energy Linked Intelligent Compute, the first drama-free data center. Installed between rows of solar panels in under 60 minutes, RELIC turns clean energy into compute, with no cranes, no concrete, and no new grid connection. Rune gets compute online faster than anyone. We're already live at a 200MW solar facility in Texas, on an existing asset with no site modifications, and working with early customers including Neil Movva of Sail Research, along with Andromeda. Everyone in AI says power is the bottleneck. The bigger issue is access. There’s already power sitting unused at the source. RELIC is built to go where that power is and turn it into compute. None of this would happen without my co-founder and CTO, Varun Palivela, and the entire Rune team. We're hiring across the board. Join us to build the future – not burn it. And thank you to Adele Peters and the Fast Company team for sharing our story. Link in comments.

Matt Cynamon shared thisI come from a manufacturing family. My father, grandfather, sister, and brother all spent their careers building windows and glass doors. It was the kind of facility you'd see Steve Martin operating in Father of the Bride but be hard pressed to believe still exists in the US. Whenever I would visit the factory as a kid I would mostly just play computer games and get matzah ball soup at the only deli in Hialeah. It came as no surprise to anyone that I ended up here instead of there. But as I've gotten older I find myself more and more drawn to that world. Partially out of an interest in how things get made, and partially because manufacturing once again feels like an economic frontier. So on September 21st I'm cohosting an event at Union Square Ventures with Mona Alsubaei and Nikhil Raman. It'll feature Kerrigan Robotics, Podium, and Isembard. If you find this half as interesting as we do RSVP below. https://luma.com/233vo3y0

Matt Cynamon shared this1 Kaleidos reactor can power 1,000 homes for 5 years. This program by the US Army will be a massive catalyst for entire nuclear microreactor industry and will enable Radiant to deliver on its promise of having commercial reactors in market by 2028.Matt Cynamon shared thisThe U.S. Army has awarded Radiant $750 million to deliver 15 Kaleidos microreactors through the Janus program, one of the largest contracts DIU has issued to date. The Army launched the Janus Program to strengthen the energy resilience of military installations and mission-critical infrastructure. Radiant was chosen after extensive evaluation of reactor design, technical maturity, manufacturing readiness, deployment strategy, and commercial viability. Radiant’s 15 microreactors will enable the Army to deploy nuclear power across multiple locations. In tandem, the operational data acquired through the Program will accelerate commercial deployments across a global footprint of commercial customers.

Matt Cynamon liked thisMatt Cynamon liked thisJust visited Isembard's new HQ factory and it's a sight to behold. The fact that this is in central London still blows my mind. This is going to become the heart of British manufacturing innovation. This will mostly be an R&D factory. The entire shop floor will be used to test and build out new manufacturing processes, automation, and software development in a live factory environment. Once a new process is proven out it will be pushed out to the dozens (soon to be hundreds) of Isembard factories in the UK, US and Europe. Reindustrialisation is in full swing!

Matt Cynamon liked thisMatt Cynamon liked thisI think Forum is about to get a lot more interesting. There’s a growing wave of tools being built to remove some of the friction around Forum: better preparation, agendas, timing, follow-up, Forum Officer support and, increasingly, AI. The question is: Can technology make Forum easier without taking away what makes it work? I’ve written about the tools I’ve found so far, including several that are actively looking for Forums to test them. Read the article: https://lnkd.in/gzxqnqa9 And if you know of a Forum tool I’ve missed, let me know. Matt Cynamon liked thisMatt Cynamon liked thisToday is my last day at Mapbox after four and a half years. I started as a lone Developer Evangelist on the Marketing team, and that role grew into managing a small Developer Relations team doing a bit of everything: docs frontend infrastructure (including a huge migration to Docusaurus), interactive playgrounds, demos, tutorials, day-to-day docs PR reviews, developer feedback triage, social media, videos, webinars, and both virtual and in-person events. It's been rewarding to advocate for a community I've been part of since long before I joined, and an honor to work alongside some of the most brilliant engineers in modern spatial tech. I've learned a lot, both technically and in seeing how a medium-sized company organizes and operates. On the community side, I've learned what kinds of resources delight developers getting started with a new product. (I don't know if LLMs get delighted the same way, but we also put a lot of energy into making these resources available to them with as little friction as possible) I don't have a new gig lined up yet, and I'm looking forward to spending time with my family and exploring some new projects. If you have a role or contract work you think I'd be a good fit for, please reach out. And if you're in NYC, I'd love to grab coffee.

Matt Cynamon liked thisMatt Cynamon liked thisGritt AI is now installing 1 MW of solar capacity per day at 4× the speed of a typical installation crew. And our daily installation rate keeps accelerating. At our active site, each day’s installation adds enough solar capacity to meet roughly 200 homes’ annual electricity needs once operational. That’s the milestone: every day, more infrastructure built. Every increase in speed, more capacity to meet America’s growing energy demand. Solar is just the beginning. Next, we aim to bring Gritt’s construction superintelligence to data centers, water treatment plants, and pipelines. Our mission: enable humanity to build centuries’ worth of infrastructure in decades. Civilization. Matt Cynamon liked thisMatt Cynamon liked thisAfter nearly 5 years at Slope, I'm stepping into a new role: I'll be joining Blacksmith as CFO. Slope has been a wonderful place to build. I joined as one of the earliest employees and received an unbelievable opportunity to help the company grow from the ground up. The hardest part of leaving Slope is leaving an incredible team. To the founders: Alice Deng and Lawrence Lin Murata, thank you for making that cross country trip to visit me in a snowstorm many years ago! I am grateful for your trust and partnership. To investors, Rebecca Kaden, Marcelo Lima, Fabiola Quinzaños, Hans Tung, Don Stalter and many others: thank you for your support and guidance. To the clients: thank you for the opportunity to serve you. Nothing would be possible without your partnership. Blacksmith is building the fastest cloud for code: the execution layer where software work runs, gets tested, and fixed. AI codegen is changing software development. Developers are generating more code and coding agents are pushing this trend further. The bottleneck has now shifted. Running the code safely is becoming the hard part. Blacksmith is the absolute fastest way to run CI. This obsession with speed led them to build the entire stack. Compute, co-located storage, virtualization, and scheduling were designed together. The result is a powerful infrastructure platform. If you’re working on CI, developer infrastructure, or scaling compute for AI-generated code, we’d love to connect (see comments). Thank you to Blacksmith's founding team - Aditya Jayaprakash, Aayush Shah, and Aditya Maru for this amazing opportunity; and to my friends for their support and guidance. What will I focus on first? What else - Compute. If you are involved in this space (CPUs), please reach out!! ** We are hiring!! Open roles across business operations and finance (see comments).

🚨NEW EPISODE: Recorded live at FUTURE TITANS 2026 - Jeff Perry of Carta sat down with the iconic Seth Levine, co-founder of Foundry. Seth has been in venture for 25 years, built Foundry from scratch as an emerging manager himself, and has backed about 50 emerging manager funds through his fund of funds. He has genuinely seen every side of this table. They went deep on building Foundry, why VCs are in the influence business, not the decision business, and why the concentration problem in venture is not only bad for LPs, but also for the innovation ecosystem overall. And why Seth's new book, Capital Evolution, is so important for the future of America. 🎧 Links to listen... Apple: https://lnkd.in/ehQUQ2EM Spotify: https://lnkd.in/eU4FExpg

Monochrome Capital is proud to be investing alongside Slow Ventures, Blitzscaling Ventures, and Jim Messina in Ando - a significant increase in our stake following the initial pre-seed check we wrote to help get the business off the ground in 2024. I’ve spent a significant portion of my career in the "pre-AI" era of logistics digitization - from the early days of Uber to working closely with Paul Wellons at Jyve. While we solved massive problems back then, the frontline workforce was often left behind by the technology meant to manage them. Having seen Paul’s leadership firsthand at Jyve, we knew early on that he was the right person to tackle the 'last broken supply chain': labor. What is Ando? They are building the world’s first AI infrastructure for the global hourly workforce. By using high-accuracy demand forecasting and intelligent staffing tools, they match the right people to the right shifts at the right time - turning a chaotic scheduling process into a precise, stable system. As our industry moves toward an AI-driven future, I am especially focused on what happens to blue-collar and hourly workers. I’ve always believed a "win/win" is possible where optimization for the employer also means better, more predictable lives for the workers. Paul is charting that course responsibly, and I believe Ando will lead to better outcomes for everyone involved than a world without it. Excited to continue our partnership with this additional financing! #FutureOfWork #AI #Logistics #HourlyWorkforce #ResponsibleAI #VentureCapital
