Matthew Kunz, CFE shared thisThank you Gabriella Ferrara for having me on the Boots vs. Bots Panel at Springboard last week! Great group of leaders for a fun and important conversation!

Matthew Kunz, CFE posted thisIt’s okay to take a step back and reflect on everything you’ve faced this week — the big things, the small things, and everything in between. Be proud of where you are, recognize how far you’ve come, and most importantly, take care of yourself. Enjoy the weekend, you’ve earned it!

Matthew Kunz, CFE shared thisYou can’t build a great company alone. It takes people who bring ideas, solve problems, challenge each other, and show up every day ready to make things better. I’m proud of the Fastest Labs team.

Matthew Kunz, CFE posted thisConference may only be two days, but there’s a lot that goes into making those two days count. Our team has been working behind the scenes to get ready for October 2–3, and I’ve had the chance to see just how much thought is going into this year’s event. The goal is simple: Make it valuable. Give our franchise owners ideas they can actually take home and use. Create opportunities for people to connect. Celebrate what we’ve accomplished. And have some honest conversations about where we need to improve. Growth doesn’t happen by accident. It happens when you get the right people in the room, have the right conversations, and are willing to keep getting better. We’re getting close. Looking forward to seeing everyone in October.

Matthew Kunz, CFE shared thisBig congratulations to Dave and Rachel George who were recognized as Fastest Labs Franchisee of the Year at the 2026 IFA Advocacy Summit! Dave and Rachel are among the best of the best in the Fastestlab system and it was my pleasure to be with them in Washington DC for this well-deserved recognition!

Matthew Kunz, CFE shared thisOur franchise owners are the heart of Fastest Labs. They’re building businesses, serving their communities, and representing our brand every day. I’m proud of what they’re accomplishing, and excited about where we’re headed together.

Matthew Kunz, CFE posted thisIf I could give my younger self one piece of business advice, it would be this: Don’t be so focused on having the perfect plan that you miss the opportunity in front of you. Business rarely goes exactly according to plan. You make a decision. You learn. You adjust. You make another decision. The important thing is to keep moving. I’ve made plenty of decisions over the years that I would handle differently today. But every one of them taught me something. That’s the nature of leadership. You don’t become a better leader because you never make mistakes. You become a better leader because you learn from them. And I’m still learning every day.

Matthew Kunz, CFE posted thisPeople often ask about goals. How big do you want Fastest Labs to become? How many locations? How much revenue? What's the next milestone? Those are important questions. I care deeply about growth, and I want Fastest Labs to become a major force in our industry. But there's another question I think about more often: What do I want us to be known for? I want franchisees to say that Fastest Labs gave them the opportunity to build something they couldn't have built alone. I want our employees to say that they grew because they were part of this company. I want customers to know that when they walk into a Fastest Labs location, they're going to get a consistent, professional experience. And I want people in the franchise industry to look at what we're building and say, “They did it the right way.” That last part matters to me. Because there's always a temptation in business to chase the next number. But numbers are the scoreboard. They're not the whole game. The real game is building something that creates opportunity for other people and gets stronger because of the people who are part of it. That's what I'm focused on. Build the brand. Build the people. Build the system. Then let the numbers follow.

Matthew Kunz, CFE liked thisMatthew Kunz, CFE liked thisFranchise Springboard has always been one of my favorite conferences, and this year didn't disappoint. It's always great to reconnect with old friends and make new ones, and I can honestly say I met more people this year than in years past. The conversations in the hallways and over coffee are what make this event special, and this year felt like the whole community showed up ready to share. A highlight for me was a great dinner with Darby Crain, Matthew Kunz, CFE, Kristopher Stuart, CFE, Michael O'Driscoll, CFE, Jonny Greenspan, Joshua Schure, CFE, Braedon Gaudet, Katherine LeBlanc, Bron Launsby, CFE, Jeffrey Leach, Brigham Dallas, Tony Hulbert, Michael Hartel, PhD, Cody Baier, CFE and Boris Katsnelson. Good food, better stories, and just all around great conversation. Thank you to the Springboard team for putting together another fantastic event, and to everyone who took the time to connect. If we met and didn't get a chance to finish the conversation, let's keep it going. My inbox is always open. Already looking forward to next year. #Springboard #Franchising #FranchiseCommunity Vendasta

Always a good time when we get to learn, connect, and spend time with so many great people in the franchise community. #FranFund #Springboard2026 #Franchising #FranchiseFunding #FranchiseSuccess #FranchiseCommunity

Matthew Kunz, CFE liked thisMatthew Kunz, CFE liked thisAdvocacy in Action! There is something powerful about watching the franchise community come together with one voice. Last week in Washington, D.C., I joined 500+ franchise leaders, owners, and advocates at the International Franchise Association 2026 Advocacy Summit—including 10 of our Home Helpers Home Care franchise owners—to bring the real stories and experiences of franchise businesses directly to Capitol Hill. My Hill meetings included conversations with the offices of Majority Leader Steve Scalise, Senator John Thune, Senator John Hickenlooper, Senator Bill Cassidy, Senator Bernie Moreno, and a meeting with Acting Secretary of Labor Keith Sonderling at the U.S. Department of Labor. The focus was the American Franchise Act (H.R. 5267) and the importance of providing greater certainty around the joint-employer standard and preserving the independence of franchise business owners. The legislation advanced out of the House Education and Workforce Committee in July and is now positioned for consideration by the full House. But advocacy is about more than legislation. It is about showing up. It is about franchise owners sharing what it means to invest their own capital, create jobs, serve their communities, and build businesses—and making sure policymakers understand the impact of the decisions they make. I am especially proud of the Home Helpers franchise owners who made the trip to Washington and used their voices to represent not only their businesses, but the thousands of people and families they serve every day. Grateful to the IFA for bringing the franchise industry together and creating the opportunity for meaningful conversations with policymakers. This is what advocacy looks like. This is Advocacy in Action. #IFA26Advocacy #AdvocacyInAction #AmericanFranchiseAct #HomeHelpers #Franchising #SmallBusiness #FranchiseCommunity

Why Healthcare CFOs Must Move Beyond “Cost to Collect” Healthcare margins may be stabilizing—but revenue leakage is accelerating. • Claim denials reached 11.8% • $260B in inpatient claims denied annually • 65% of denied claims are never resubmitted Following his recent session at the The Millennium Alliance Transformational CFO Healthcare Providers Assembly, Justin Fugazy, Head of Client Engagement at Revecore, explores why healthcare finance leaders must start measuring revenue cycle performance through ROI—not just cost to collect. Because the critical question providers face isn’t "how cheaply can we collect?" It's "how much revenue are we failing to capture?” Read the full blog: https://lnkd.in/ezVh3_Ai
