Melissa Taunton shared thisSuch an important conversation - and no one better to lead it, Alexis Contos! We need more candid dialogue about the realities of building a career, raising a family, and designing a life we actually want to live. It’s not linear, it’s not effortless, and it’s certainly not “balanced” in the traditional sense. What matters is honest conversation, shared support, and redefining success on our own terms. Grateful to be part of a community pushing this forward and proving that ambition and motherhood are not mutually exclusive - they can fuel each other!Melissa Taunton shared thisI've spent years looking for this conversation. So I decided to create it. For too long, we've been told that motherhood means choosing between ambition and presence. Between professional accomplishment and showing up for our families. But what if that's just another outdated story? Today, I'm thrilled to share the trailer for The Breadwinners Podcast 🎙️ This isn't another podcast about "having it all" or finding "balance." We're done chasing someone else's version of success. Instead, we're having raw, honest conversations with women who are redefining what it means to be a breadwinner in every sense of the word - financially, emotionally, and systematically. Women who are redesigning industries while redesigning family systems that never accounted for their ambition. What you'll hear: → Real schedules, real breakdowns, real breakthroughs → The secrets we keep as mothers that those curated social feeds won't show you → The systems that failed before they worked → How to design a life where the things that matter most can actually coexist Because being a Breadwinner isn't just about the paycheck. It's about the household operations, the emotional weight, and the invisible labor that keeps everything running. This podcast is for: ✓ Current breadwinners pioneering new models of family leadership ✓ Aspiring breadwinners building careers while planning families ✓ Partners and allies who make this journey possible ✓ Anyone ready for a different conversation about working motherhood __________________ Trailer link in comments. Melissa Taunton reacted on thisMelissa Taunton reacted on thisI've spent my career on the enterprise side of technology shifts. I was at Salesforce as cloud became the default. I was at Confluent when data went from something companies stored to something they ran on. The pattern repeats: the technology arrives first, the language for it arrives late, and the companies that win are the ones who can plainly say what they do for a customer before the category even has a name. AI is in that gap right now. It also happens to be our biggest technology transformation yet. Enterprise marketing has never been louder or more crowded, and most of that noise is answering the wrong question. Enterprises are past debating whether the models are good. What I hear from customers is harder and less glamorous: Will it run in production? Will it survive our security and compliance checks? Will it hold up when ten thousand employees are on it every day? Will it break my IT budget before I see a return? That's why I'm thrilled to share that today I have joined Google Cloud as Chief Marketing Officer. Here's what tipped the scale for me: The stack, and the proof it works. Google has spent more than a decade building the answer across every layer of AI: infrastructure and TPUs, data, security, and Gemini. Enterprises don't get production-grade AI from stitching together point solutions. They get it from a stack built to work together, end to end. Nearly 90% of the Fortune 100 already use Gemini Enterprise, and 80% of Google Cloud customers use its AI products today. The opportunity now is translating that power into absolute clarity for every enterprise buyer. That's the job I'm taking. Not more volume in an already loud category. Clarity, and the discipline to keep a customer's outcomes at the center of everything we do. The people. The people made this an easy decision too. Every conversation I've had here, with engineers, sales, marketers, leaders across the business, has sharpened the same impression: deep thinkers, genuinely collaborative, customer-obsessed, with an entrepreneurial spirit you don't always find at this scale. The scale and the ambition speaks for itself. Google Cloud grew 82% year over year last quarter, with nearly 100 billion annual revenue run rate. That kind of growth doesn't happen because enterprises want another AI model to evaluate. It happens because they want AI that actually does the work: one platform, not twenty tools bolted together. My focus is making Google Cloud that platform for every enterprise, across every line of business and every industry. Not just answers. Outcomes. A huge thank you to Lorraine Twohill and Thomas Kurian for the opportunity and the trust. And to the marketing team I'm joining: I'm excited to get in the trenches with you. I'm coming in to listen first. Time to get to work.

Melissa Taunton reacted on thisMelissa Taunton reacted on thisThe spektr growth team doubled this week... to two! Annie joined spektr in April, 3 months before I did, as a founders associate on Jan-Erik's team. Within weeks of my arrival she was involved in pretty much everything I worked on, from the 3.0 launch to our first London event. She’s smart, creative and brilliant at turning ideas into things that actually happen. Working with her has already made such a difference to what I’ve been able to do, and I’m excited about everything we’ve got planned together. So (with Erik’s blessing), we’ve made it official. Growth as the main job, not the extracurricular. Very happy to have you on the team, Annie 🫶

Melissa Taunton reacted on thisMelissa Taunton reacted on thisNEA recently led Positron AI's $875M Series C — now Neehaar Gandhi, Ryan Psik, Lila Tretikov, Forest Baskett, and Scott Sandell are sharing our excitement in partnering with Mitesh Agrawal and Thomas Sohmers and why we think this is the next architectural reset for AI. ⚠️ AI just hit a trillion-dollar traffic jam — and it's not compute that's stuck, it's memory and networking. We think we found the company built to fix it. ⚡ Meet Asimov: a chip that ditches the switch entirely, links 16,000+ chips directly, and crams in more memory than anything else on the market. No HBM. No CoWoS. No bottleneck. 🚀 5x the tokens per dollar. A fraction of the power. And the its first-gen system already live. https://lnkd.in/gC89NKfy

Melissa Taunton reacted on thisMelissa Taunton reacted on thisThank you Vogue HK for the feature! I had to decide if I should post something so personal (pics of my low tox home) on this “work” platform. But, you know what, my work IS personal… why do we have to spend time reading materials labels, ingredients list, details on website to decipher what is safe and healthy for our bodies? Why can’t every thing we buy and use just be nontoxic and healthy? How did we as a society get to a place of manufacturing things that causes hormonal disruptions, cancer, adhd, allergies, alzheimers, autism and many other issues?? Did u ever think that our furniture, our clothes, our utensils, our toys, our creams, our soaps could be making boys of the next generation have smaller penis sizes ?!?! My low tox home includes: Certified Organic wool bed Organic cotton & linen bedding Bed frame with no formaldehyde, VOC, flame retardants, toxic glues VOC free paints Organic cotton & wool carpet Vintage furniture Solid wood furniture with no glues (no mdf) PFAS-free outdoor furniture Low chlorine, salt based pool Whole house water filter Under the sink reverse osmosis plus remineralization Air purifier Wood, stainless steel, glass and no plastic in kitchen Stainless steel, spun iron & enameled cast iron pots & pans Cork yoga mat Human friendly full spectrum light bulbs WiFi off at night Organic foods Clean cleaning & beauty products I’m not perfect, and for my and my kids health, I will continue to upgrade to lower our overall toxic load. And My first step is to make life easier to shop for nontoxic everyday products And I’m not going to stop until big corporations change how they make things… not just for the privileged few but for Everybody & Everyone https://lnkd.in/ewdGv5SQ

What makes him unique is that he’s both a visionary and a student. He wants to learn about everything, and he’s become an expert in every inch of Databricks’ business. It’s awesome to see TIME recognize what his team has known for years. Congrats to the others on the list: Sam Altman, Dario Amodei, Daniela Amodei, Jeff Bezos, Sarah Guo, and many others. Institutions don’t fail all at once. They fail when design can’t keep up with change. In Davos this week, I’ll be joining the inaugural gathering of the Institutional Research Network, a new initiative convened by The Digital Economist. The focus is not another set of conversations but the patient work of connecting research, markets, and governance so ideas can take institutional form and hold under real-world pressure. Some initiatives are about visibility. This one is about durability. #Davos2026 #InstitutionalDesign #IRN #TheDigitalEconomist

Most family office principals don’t set out to become the operators of a complex institutional structure. Yet that's often what the role demands. Staffing, governance, vendor oversight, cost management—it compounds quickly. Understanding how to balance what stays in-house with what gets outsourced is foundational work, not a detail to revisit later. This article offers a look at how experienced principals are approaching that question: https://lnkd.in/eXjqWrRe
