Nick Graham shared thisAll medium to high volume Formlabs SLA customers should be using a two-stage wash. I feel like we haven't been assertive enough on this topic. And as I've visited customers, I've seen ones doing thousands of parts a year using a single stage isopropyl alcohol (IPA) wash. And as many as 5 IPA washes in a row. And everything in between. Post processing is the hardest part of resin based printing. You CAN get good results with a single stage IPA wash, especially if you closely monitor the IPA saturation. But I don't think it is consistent enough for medium or high volume operations. My advice: if you're doing more than 500 parts a year, run a two-stage IPA wash. One wash is the "dirty" or "rough" wash. The second is the "clean" or "fine" wash. You change the rough wash more often as it get saturated faster. That's our best practice and what we run in Formlabs offices. If you're doing hundreds of thousands of parts per year, there are some pretty cool fully automated 4-5 stages washes out there. What's working best for you?

Nick Graham shared thisDamage to organs through prolonged or repeated exposure? Reproductive effects? From 3D printing resin? Sadly, this risk is very common. 1. A lot of very low cost resins use 4-Acryloylmorpholine or ACMO 2. Many of the producers of these resins do NOT disclose use of ACMO on their Safety Data Sheets (we tested them) I've traveled all over the world meeting customers. And I have yet to find one who already understood the risks for them and their team of printing resins with ACMO. The EPA issued a Significant New Use Regulation for ACMO because it is so dangerous. It includes language about the regulations for releasing ACMO into waste water streams, stating that the limit is 100 parts per billion. To put that in perspective, the amount of water needed to dilute 1L of a resin formulation containing 50% ACMO is about 5 million liters of water. Or roughly the size of two Olympic swimming pools. Formlabs will never use ACMO in our resin. And we take the accuracy of our Safety Data Sheets incredibly seriously. I know many other industrial 3D printing OEMs do the same. Should we all stand together for resin safety transparency?

Nick Graham shared thisFuse X1 sales have been RIPPING. Especially in drones and contract manufacturing. We only have 5 X1s left that can be delivered in the U.S. by end of year. Who wants 'em? 🚀 🚀 🚀 🚀 🚀 Update: 4 left!

Nick Graham shared thisThe team at 3DDevice is doing incredible work defending Ukraine. They are heroes supporting heroes. It was very hard to see these images, but only strengthened our resolve to lean in and help more.Nick Graham shared thisA few weeks ago, a Russian missile strike destroyed the warehouse of our main distributor in Ukraine, 3DDevice. Thankfully, no one was injured. But the team lost the building they work in and most of the inventory, including many of our printers and materials. It was heartbreaking to see. We’re helping them recover. When we started Formlabs, I never imagined seeing our printers in the rubble of a missile strike. I wish there were no need to use them in war. But I am proud to see them helping Ukrainians defend their country and the Western world.

Nick Graham shared this22 Formlabs Form 3s -> 6 Form 4s Last week, I visited one of our high volume customers who is using a fleet of our SLA 3D printers to make medical devices. Their main point: Form 4 was a turning point. Here are their stats: Form 3 Generation - Print farm of 22 Form 3s - 13% part scrap rate - Usually at least one printer being repaired or replaced at any time Form 4 Generation - Print farm of just 6 Form 4s (doing higher volume than the Form 3 fleet) - 2% part scrap rate - All printers running, all the time I've seen this dynamic all over the world. The Form 4 (and 4L) are 2-5 times faster than our prior generation printers. That is an insane increase in throughput. And there are very few moving parts on the machine. So throughput and reliability skyrocketed. Even components that can fail (like the Light Processing Unit), are easy and cheap to repair. Replacing an LPU takes 8 screws and 5 minutes. Anyone can do it. It's always amazing to see what these leaps forward mean to our customers in their day-to-day operations.

Nick Graham shared thisFormlabs AI chat now handles 25% of our customer service volume! I'm excited to announce the new Formlabs Support website which has a number of big improvements: - More intuitive navigation to easily find the product you're working on - Faster loading times and responsiveness - Better searchability, making it easier to find answer via AI tools - Install, maintenance, and repair guides for Fuse X1 - Improved AI chatbot And, unlike many companies, we have maintained the incredible easy access to our team of expert technical support agents. Give us a call and we will answer the phone within 60 seconds during business hours. That isn't just a claim - we track it rigorously and we hit it 96% of the time. And we're not done. We want feedback on the AI chat and new site so feel free to comment here or send me a DM. We have some big improvements planned for Q4 and Q1!

Nick Graham reacted on thisNick Graham reacted on thisTwo years in @Formlabs today! 🧡🖤 Somehow, it feels both like I joined yesterday… and like I’ve been here for much, much longer. 😄 In two years, I’ve already made it through two complete tradeshow cycles, and with this fall in full swing, cycle #3 is officially underway. ✈️📦🛠️ Along the way, I’ve met, learned from and worked with so many lovely people from all over the world, learned to navigate a truly international environment, and slowly found my own way of doing things. Somewhere between the booths, shipments, last-minute changes and “this seemed like a good idea three months ago” moments, I also started rethinking what a tradeshow can actually be. 😄 And this year came with a pretty special milestone too: receiving a Performance Award for my work. 🏆 Having that work recognized meant a lot to me, and felt like a pretty special reflection of everything I’ve put into these past two years. Joining Formlabs was a big change for me, and there was definitely some figuring it out as I go involved. Two years later, I’m still figuring things out, just with a lot more shows, people, stories and airport miles behind me. Here’s to the years ahead, and whatever we decide to print, ship, build or completely rethink next. 🍾

Nick Graham reacted on thisNick Graham reacted on thisIt’s funny how sometimes, a whole lot of good professional things clump into a very short period of time. Just this week, I’ve had the opportunity to: * Make the first two hires in the Carmyn revenue org (both superstars!). * Reconnect with a CarGurus colleague on an investment opportunity. * Talk with my first professional mentor, and now be in a position to help his son in the same way he helped me so many years ago. * Be a backchannel reference for one of my favorite colleagues ever, and also being able connect him to other people to help him fully evaluate the opportunity. * Hear from a Pay Forward Coaching member I worked with, who just accepted a great job offer that allows him to complete a big career pivot he’s been working on. Upon reflection, it’s all related to connection. Some brand new connections; some three decades old. But these professional connections have helped me a ton, and I’m grateful for the opportunities I have to give some help back where I can. Hopefully Thursday and Friday bring more of the same! 🙏

Nick Graham liked thisI recently had the opportunity to explore some of the latest capabilities available in the Additive App Suite. If you're interested in learning more about the new features and how they can support manufacturing workflows, check out this blog post!Nick Graham liked this3D printing technology has become increasingly accessible, even to users without a formal engineering background, however, creating the CAD files needed for printing can still be a significant barrier. The Additive App suite, a collection of 12 shop-floor design applications developed by trinckle and integrated directly into GrabCAD Print (separate license required), enables users to create useful manufacturing tools in a fraction of the time required by traditional CAD workflows. The most efficient GTM motion in SaaS today? Still product-led growth. In a market where CAC efficiency matters more than ever, the companies thriving are the ones that let their product do the heavy lifting. As productled.org puts it, “Sales-led and marketing-led have had their time. The future is product-led growth.” Software buying has shifted—from being sold to being experienced. Product-led growth (PLG) is all about that shift. It’s an end-user focused model where the product itself drives acquisition, conversion, and expansion. It aligns every team—marketing, sales, product, and success—around one shared goal: delivering an experience users love. And it fits perfectly with a growth mindset. The best PLG teams are constantly experimenting, learning, and adapting to how real users behave. As Amplitude says, “Product-led is breaking down the silos between the business and the product.” Because in this new era, the business is the product. https://lnkd.in/gifm2wzF

Clear shift in the market for revenue leadership (specifically in lmm pe-backed software) in the past year and I don't think enough sponsors/boards have picked up on it. The top percentile of gtm leaders that know the cadence/pace of play of PE environment AND have demonstrable track record of success in that enviroment are dilegencing your portco harder before entertaining offers. I'm seeing it in searches right now. They're asking about - product-market fit - board alignment on GTM strategy - what the last Sales Leader got wrong and why - the strength of the marketing program - NRR, etc To a degree this has always been the case.. In fact, the pattern recognition signals to me that they know the playing field. The candidates with the most relevant experience have watched enough of these movies to know how they end. The big difference now is that the risk profile of your $50M enterprise software portco has changed for the execs. Why? Because what used to be a 4-5 yr stint is now more likely to be a 6-7 yr battle. That changes how they weigh the risk:reward for your opportunity. The risk is 2 fold: 1) A failed CRO/CMO appointment is visible, it plays out in front of their entire network over 14 months and then the person is back in the market explaining what happened. (this is not new) 2) They do a decent job and still can't get a win after year 6. And even if they do get the win after 6 or 7 years, the payout spread across their years of service to the company is lower. So when a CEO says "our process is moving slow because we want to be thorough" that's fine. But the best candidate in your pipeline is running their own processes at the same time and they're scrutinizing your opportunity just as hard. So, how do you compete now? Well for starters, perhaps you need to revisit the good/bad leaver definitions. Furthermore, you've got to treat top GTM candidates the way you'd treat a perspective buyer. Yes.. you need to close them. This helps: - Clarity on the opportunity. - Speed through the process. - No surprises on scope, or what the first 90 days actually look like. - Get your story/numbers straight.. act like your selling the company (you are). - Lastly, if you want top percentile talent be prepare to remunerate appropriately. Your process is either earning the candidate or losing them. There's no neutral.

Silence in deal sourcing is often misinterpreted. No reply No immediate interest No quick follow-up Most teams assume that means no opportunity. It usually just means wrong timing. In the lower mid-market, timing drives outcomes more than intent. Owners think in cycles: • After a large customer churns • After a refinancing window opens • After a management change • After a tough quarter • After a competitor exits The problem is most firms don’t track silence. They track responses. If someone doesn’t reply, the conversation dies. No structured revisit. No trigger-based follow-up. No memory of why the company was interesting in the first place. Six months later, that same business sells to someone else. Not because they were better. Because they were present at the right moment. At Farao, we think of silence as deferred signal. Our job isn’t to push harder. It’s to stay structured long enough for timing to change. The firms that win proprietary deals aren’t the most aggressive. They’re the most patient and the most organized. #PrivateEquity #PrivateCredit #DealSourcing #Origination #LowerMidMarket #MergersAndAcquisitions

Cold outbound isn’t dead, but the way pipeline gets built has changed. We surveyed 1,305 GTM leaders to understand what’s actually driving revenue today, and where teams are getting stuck between pipeline and quota. These 5 stats explain the Warm Intro Gap, and why warm intros outperform cold, yet still aren’t operationalized. 📊 Full report drops January 22 🎙️ Live webinar breakdown on January 29 (https://hubs.la/Q03XYj-f0) If you’re trying to do more with less pipeline, this one’s for you.

If your AE already ran discovery, your SE already built the demo, and your team already knows this account inside out. So why is someone rebuilding the deck from scratch at 10 PM? Every deal has context. Most collateral ignores it. Generic slides. Reused one-pagers. Copy-pasted case studies that almost fit. The customization gap isn't a talent problem. It's a workflow problem. SiftHub's Sales Collateral Builder pulls from what your team already knows - past deals, product details, winning narratives - and turns it into collateral that's actually built for this account. First draft in minutes. Strategy time back. 💡 Link in comments. #Presales #SalesEngineering #GTM #RevenueEnablement

The best CFOs know segmentation is the soul of strategic decision making. Because without it, you’re allocating capital with all or nothing data. It was easy to tolerate complacency in a zero interest rate environment and you could afford to peanut butter spread R&D and GTM investments evenly across the board. In the current environment (higher interest, fiercer competition, reduced productivity), it could keep your company from growing profitably, reduce valuation, or, worse, keep you from existing (or raising capital) altogether. Segmentation is what allows you to throttle and accelerate allocations the way an investor would. Can you look at your data at these levels? → In sales: What regions, reps, and business lines perform best compared to the others? Which reps need a bit more coaching and which ones won’t work out? Are there roles we should reallocate to higher performing segments? → In marketing: Do you know which of your 5-7 key channels are driving the highest lifetime value (LTV) segments? Which channels are driving a lot of activity but few results? Where should you double down on success versus cutting back? → In R&D: Can you evaluate your unit economics by product line? How does the product roadmap tie into profitability goals for the business? Which new feature releases have had the biggest impact on retention? This is how great CFOs like Pam (Peterson) Martinez (who successfully exited SevenRooms to DoorDash) operate. They set themselves up with this level of data maturity from day one and make exit readiness a state of being. #PrivateEquity #StrategicFinance #FPandA #SegmentationStrategy #GoToMarket #ExitReadiness #FinanceLeadership #FinQore

Revenue leakage compounds faster than most PE operators realise. A portfolio company losing 3-5% of potential revenue through pricing inconsistencies, untracked discounts, and pipeline blind spots in month one is losing 15-22% by month twelve. The curve is not linear - it accelerates. Claymore's Revenue Flow Diagnostic maps every revenue touchpoint from lead to cash. What we consistently find: the biggest leaks aren't in sales execution. They're in the handoffs - marketing to sales, sales to implementation, implementation to renewal. The companies that run this diagnostic in the first 90 days and act on the top three findings see measurable recovery within a single quarter. Revenue leakage is silent. But the P&L impact is loud. Where are your portfolio companies losing revenue they've already earned? #PrivateEquity #RevenueOperations #DigitalTransformation

Kyle James makes a great observation about how GTM teams are approaching platforms like Gainsight today. What looks like hesitation is often discipline. Teams are taking time to pressure test workflows, data, and ownership before committing to a platform. That behavior does not diminish the value of Gainsight. In many cases, it increases it. When teams arrive with clearer intent and operational readiness, adoption improves and outcomes compound faster. The signal here is not about building instead of buying. It is about earning the right to scale with the platform once the foundation is actually in place. https://lnkd.in/emF9ZvCQ

Most sales consulting fails because no one owns what happens after the deck. Founders get "best practices" that ignore cash flow, timing, and tradeoffs. CROs inherit models built for cleaner data than they'll ever have. RevOps gets stuck enforcing processes leadership won't follow. That's not strategy. That's distance. Real revenue work lives in the friction—comp plans with unintended side effects, forecasts no one fully believes, tools bought for optics instead of behavior change, and handoffs where deals quietly die. The consulting that actually works isn't elegant. It's specific, opinionated, and accountable. And it stays when execution gets uncomfortable. Where have you seen smart advice collapse the moment it touched reality? #SalesLeadership #RevenueOperations #B2BSales #GoToMarket
