Nina Zieling reacted on thisNina Zieling reacted on thisLife is full of unexpected twists and turns, and occasional radical bifurcations and leaps of faith, at least in my case. I’m happy to share with my colleagues and friends that I’m starting a doctoral program in Religious Studies at The University of Chicago Divinity School. I will still be keeping up with some of my prior consulting and training work, but this is a new adventure... and a whole new city. See you at the lake on my bike! Getting used to a different skyline...

(I finally got my nerve up - how silly is that?) He’s usually writing in his large, worn spiral notebook. He’s homeless but many people know him and bring him food. (He never asks for anything or bothers anyone). He was writing wedding songs so I asked him to play and sing me one. He said he hoped to play at someone’s wedding. I was so moved I posted on FB looking for a wedding for him to be a part of. It all came together today. His name is Garfield. #community #support #giveback #people

Since I arrived in New York in early 2013, I have been volunteering for the Boys & Girls Club of Metro Queens, participating in fundraising as well as educational events for the children. My main focus has been on the teen center, but I have also lead toy drives for the smaller members of the Club. In May 2015, I was invited to join the Board of Directors and in December 2015, I was appointed as Secretary/Treasurer.

The Boys & Girls Club of Metro Queens is a wonderful non-profit organization that has been serving the children and families of Richmond Hill since 1957. The Club provided a safe and fun environment for almost 1,400 registered members in 2015 and serves as a "home away from home" for over 300 children on any given day. I am very proud to be part of the team. -

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport has a wonderful charitable program that is mainly focused on the well-being and education of children and young adults in the local community. During my time at Hartsfield-Jackson, I used to lead a team of volunteers at different events: e.g.: "Holidays at Hartsfield-Jackson" for primary school children, "Women in Aviation", an educational program for young women interested in joining the aviation industry.

Encouraging to see Saks Global taking decisive steps to sharpen focus and strengthen its foundation. Clarity around product, experience, and brand partnerships is critical in the luxury space—and access to capital provides important runway. Rebuilding financial stability and re-energizing the luxury customer will take time, consistency, and disciplined execution. The opportunity is there. Looking forward to seeing how this next chapter unfolds. LuxuryRetail #RetailTransformation #BrandStrategy #CustomerExperience #Leadership

In jewelry, growth is not always about selling more pieces. Sometimes it comes from becoming clearer about who the brand is for—and why the product deserves its price. I was interested in Signet Jewelers’ latest results, particularly the performance of Blue Nile. The brand reported 10% year-over-year sales growth, while Signet is placing greater emphasis on higher price points and natural diamonds. From an investment and brand strategy perspective, I think the more interesting story is positioning. Jewelry brands operate in a market where consumers have enormous choice. Materials can be compared. Prices can be searched instantly. Trends can be copied quickly. That makes a clear brand identity increasingly valuable. The strongest brands need more than attractive products. Product direction, pricing, storytelling, client experience, and distribution all need to reinforce the same position in the consumer’s mind. For me, this is also an important part of evaluating long-term value in jewelry. A good product can create a sale. A well-positioned brand can create preference—and preference is much harder for competitors to replicate. https://lnkd.in/dgw5Sx7q #JewelryIndustry #JewelryInvestment #BrandStrategy #LuxuryJewelry #ProductStrategy #FineJewelry #LuxuryBusiness

The figures are in: the U.S. jewelry market grew by 5.6% in 2025. Several key trends are worth noting. While consumers are purchasing fewer pieces overall, they are spending more per item. The decline in unit sales is concentrated in price points below $2,500. For a deeper understanding of the retail landscape, see the detailed analysis below from Tenoris. https://lnkd.in/d-7zm6pa
