Phil Saunders shared thisOur customers and partners already made the decision for us: agentic AI isn’t a feature in the platform, it’s how the work is getting done. Renaming it Relativity aiR? Captain Obvious would approve.Phil Saunders shared thisYou made RelativityOne what it is. Today, it has a new name. RelativityOne is now Relativity aiR, the AI platform for legal data intelligence. Having one name for the platform and another for the AI inside it implied the two were separable. At this point, they're not. AI now handles more of the high-volume legal work that used to consume thousands of hours, freeing legal teams to uncover insights faster and make smarter, more strategic decisions. #RelativityaiR has delivered more than 620 million high-value legal results in 2026 alone. This name reflects who we are today and where we are taking legal data intelligence next. Now reimagine what it can do. #LegalAI #LegalTech

Phil Saunders shared thisWelcome to the whacky-wonderful yet measured MCP frenzy at Relativity . Claude. Gemini Enterprise for Legal. Now Microsoft Copilot. Three AI assistants connected to #RelativityOne through one protocol. With complete governance of your data. Let's keep going....

Phil Saunders shared thisIt's undeniable that legal teams want to engage their AI tooling in the environments they already rely on, and we're now tackling that ask in Gemini Enterprise for Legal. We'll continue to meet legal teams where they do their best work, because solid governance of your most precious data doesn't change because the surface does.Phil Saunders shared thisRelativityOne now integrates with Google Cloud's Gemini Enterprise for Legal through the Model Context Protocol. This integration enables system administrators, including litigation support teams, legal operations, service providers, and developers, to accelerate their work while maintaining governance and security. They can stand up new matters, align workspaces to the structure of their data, manage access and workflows through natural language. Sensitive data never leaves the platform, and substantive legal analysis stays within #RelativityaiR. Phil Saunders shared thisNot trying to be theatrical. This is us simply acknowledging that two things can be true: lawyers are passionate about their client matters AND they may not want to- like ever - go into RelativityOne. They want to frictionlessly engage with all their evidentiary data at scale, with zero data movement, and full up court-tested defensibility. And win. We get it. Relativity has been thoughtfully building to this moment with aiR natively inside Relativity with our community and now accelerating the claiR offering with advanced access partners helping shape it for greatness. Meeting lawyers how and where they want to work. Huh. More to come.Phil Saunders shared thisToday we're announcing Relativity claiR. #RelativityclaiR gives lawyers conversational command of the full depth of their legal data — grounded, cited, auditable answers from the complete matter record, in plain language, without complexity or a learning curve. Three of the world's leading law firms are the first to put claiR to work through Relativity's Advanced Access program: A&O Shearman, Foley & Lardner LLP, and K&L Gates. "This isn't lawyers learning their way around #RelativityOne. It's a fundamentally new way to get them straight to the answers in their most consequential legal data." — Phil Saunders, CEO, Relativity Full announcement in the comments. #RelativityclaiR #LegalAI #LegalTech #LegalDataIntelligence

Phil Saunders shared thisIt's not often the work we do is equally personal. This is one of those moments. The news about Chris Brown being named President of Relativity is properly covered below, so I’ll spare you the repeat. No hidden agendas. No strange politics. Just organizing for the mission. Not to make it weird, but it’s even more important and personally fulfilling to me witnessing such a solid, caring, and wonderful human being rise to the occasion and bring the rest of us with him. Ask any Relativity employee, customer, partner and they’ll tell you…this is simply true. I love this moment, Chris. LFG.Phil Saunders shared thisToday we named Chris Brown as Relativity's President. His mandate: advance our AI platform for legal data intelligence, expand the legal work it supports, and bring it to legal professionals where and how they work. Since joining as CPO in 2018, Chris has led the teams behind the AI platform for the industry's most consequential legal work. Now, as CEO Phil Saunders puts it, it's time to shift into high gear. That means uniting product, marketing, and technology partnerships so we can move faster and reach further. Among his immediate priorities: integrating Gavel, acquired in June 2026, to bring Relativity directly into Microsoft Word; expanding the governed MCP integrations that let leading AI assistants, including Claude, orchestrate matters and workflows inside #RelativityOne; and scaling #RelativityaiR across the full range of legal work the platform serves, backed by 93 petabytes of legal data under management as of April 2026. "I believe what we've built has already changed how legal work gets done, and the fullest version of that vision is still ahead: legal practitioners asking questions, exploring evidence and drafting work product, all in one simple and intuitive flow, with AI they can trust." — Chris Brown, President, Relativity

Phil Saunders shared thisWe’re obsessed with reimagining how legal work gets tackled. I scream from the rooftops about our AI platform for legal data intelligence, and transforming how we support legal professionals accross the tools they use everyday. The Gavel offerings and team are an awesome fit with that mission. I’m excited and honored to welcome Dorna Moini , Pierre Martin and the broader Gavel team to Relativity. Let’s go!Phil Saunders shared thisRelativity has acquired Gavel — and we're excited about what it makes possible. Work product generated by Relativity's AI solutions could be drafted, redlined, and finalized inside Microsoft Word, with each edit syncing back to the matter in #RelativityOne. Legal intelligence, connected directly to where the work happens. This is about meeting lawyers where they work. Bringing AI-native legal workflows and the system of record closer together. We're thrilled to welcome the Gavel team. Their expertise will play an important role in what the next chapter of legal data intelligence looks like. Phil Saunders shared thisThe so-what? there’s no other legal data or ediscovery tech company on the planet that natively collects conversational AI content from ChatGPT, Gemini, and now Claude enterprise- way essential data that can’t be overlooked in our world today. Couple that with our recent news bringing intelligent provisioning & orchestration via Claude to our AI platform while preserving our customer and partner’s most precious and governed data. That’s a so-what.Phil Saunders shared thisAs AI becomes embedded in everyday work, it is also creating a new and rapidly growing class of enterprise data, any of which can become legal data. Organizations need visibility into how these tools are being used and a way to keep pace with the data they generate. Today, we’re announcing an integration with the Claude Compliance API, bringing Claude Enterprise activity into #RelativityOne, our extensible AI platform for legal work. This integration adds Claude Enterprise as a Collect in RelativityOne data source, enabling legal data and technology teams, as well as security and compliance teams, to seamlessly collect activity logs and conversation content. RelativityOne now supports native collection from ChatGPT Enterprise, Gemini Enterprise, and Claude Enterprise. https://ow.ly/7iJB50Z2Qkc #LegalTech #eDiscovery #LegalAI #AICompliance #Claude

Phil Saunders shared thisWhat he said.Phil Saunders shared thisWhat a week to be at Relativity. For years we've designed Relativity as a platform meant to be extended — open APIs, our app marketplace, and a partner ecosystem that customers have shaped to their work. Our integration with Anthropic Claude is the next chapter in that story: customers can use Claude's orchestration capabilities to manage RelativityOne workflows in natural language, while aiR — our purpose-built legal AI — continues to power the substantive analysis at the core of every matter. Open at the orchestration layer, purpose-built where the legal work happens. And we're just getting started — more great updates coming as we head into Relativity Fest London in the weeks ahead. Phil Saunders shared thisGreat piece on ICONIQ in Bloomberg — and on their conviction around identifying great companies in AI. Must have been a slip of the mind that Relativity didn't get a mention. 😊. Matthew Jacobson and Iconiq have been partners of ours since 2015 — one of their longest-running and high performing AI bets. To be clear, they’re far more to us than investors. As Matt said in the article: "It's been all AI, all the time." At Relativity, that hasn't been a strategy. It's been the work — day in and day out, for over a decade. And we're just getting started.Phil Saunders shared thisWhat matters to us most about AI is who’s building it, and how. Natasha Mascarenhas's reporting in Bloomberg captures that story as it unfolds across the ICONIQ Community. Companies like Anthropic, ElevenLabs, Legora, OpenAI, and Sierra are each approaching AI with their own distinct lens and deep technical rigor. Progress at this edge and scale is shaped by builders, operators, and investors working in concert—challenging each other’s thinking, moving with intention, and staying open to what’s possible. We’re grateful to partner with these founders and so many others thoughtfully shaping the pathways toward tomorrow. Read more: https://lnkd.in/gTuY_ANm *For educational purposes only. Phil Saunders reacted on thisPhil Saunders reacted on thisFirst RelFest as Gavel now part of Relativity . Pretty special one. We’re launching Relativity aiR for Drafting, built on Gavel’s powerful technology and now securely connected to millions of matter documents. That changes the ambition. This isn’t just contract review or a chatbot sitting on top of a few files. It’s about producing defensible work product grounded in the actual matter, with enough depth to handle real legal complexity. My team has also been showing more of claiR: letting lawyers converse with huge corpora throughout the lifecycle of a case, from early strategy and discovery to drafting, trial, and soon, on the go. When you can reason across petabytes of legal data, the opportunity is much bigger than chat. It’s turning matter knowledge and intelligence into action, at unprecedented scale. Super proud of this team for absolutely crushing demo after demo, and of how quickly we’ve gone from acquisition to building together with real ambition. If you haven't seen the demo sparkle from Laura Goodfellow you are seriously missing out. And huge credit to Dorna Moini Phil Saunders Chris Brown Elise Tropiano for an inspiring keynote. Great catching up with Elizabeth Grabowski Parikh from Courtroom AI too. Change is in the aiR. #Relativity #RelFest #RelFest2026 #Legal #Technology #Startup #Gavel #BuiltOnGavel

Phil Saunders reacted on thisPhil Saunders reacted on thisAttended my first #RelFestChicago this week. Quick primer: RelFest is the annual conference hosted by Relativity, the #Chicago-born #legaltech company that has spent 25 years becoming the backbone of how law firms, corporations, and government agencies make sense of massive amounts of legal data. 2,000 legal and tech pros. Three days. In the city where it all started. Five takeaways: 1️⃣ Money talks. Plenty of tech companies pay lip service to #inclusion, but few put it in the budget. Relativity is a financial supporter of Chicago:Blend, and as their Chief Partner Officer Laurie Usewicz said a few weeks ago, "Chicago's tech ecosystem is stronger when more people have a seat at the table [and] connecting underrepresented founders, investors, and operators is exactly the kind of impact we want to help scale." See her full post 👉🏽 https://lnkd.in/p/gp6w4SuY 2️⃣ Access to justice isn't a side project. As Johnathan Hill from their social impact team shared, Relativity's Justice for Change program provides its software free to nonprofits and pro bono teams doing social justice work. Five years in: 250+ cases, 19 million+ documents, 90+ organizations. One of those cases helped free a man after 23 years of wrongful incarceration. That's not a CSR line item. That's someone's life back. 3️⃣ A tech CEO opened his keynote with empathy (a rarity these days). Not benchmarks. Not tokens. CEO Phil Saunders kicked things off by arguing that amid all the #AI hype about capabilities and efficiency, one could lose sight of our human superpowers: compassion, empathy, trust, and vulnerability. As he put it, "Those superpowers aren't showing up in the latest model." In a year when most keynotes sound like a GPU spec sheet, that landed. 4️⃣ Your customers are builders. Treat them that way. Founder Andrew Sieja made a surprise appearance and shared some lore from 25 years of growth. His point: the legal world is full of innovators, at law firms and service providers alike, wrestling with wild problems. Give them the right toolset and they'll keep building solutions to challenges nobody saw coming. Translation: be the platform, not the ceiling. 5️⃣ The scoreboard: None of this has come at the expense of growth. In 2026 alone, Relativity's AI platform has delivered 620 million+ human-verified legal results, the company announced plans to go public, acquired Gavel to bring its AI into Microsoft Word, and just added KPMG and Latham & Watkins to its newest AI program. The lazy narrative says you have to choose between doing well and doing good. Relativity keeps proving that's a false choice. Chicago (and the tech industry) needs more companies like this.

Phil Saunders liked thisPhil Saunders liked thisIt’s happening… RelFest Chicago! Excited to share that I will be attending RelFest Chicago this week as a participant in the 2026 Relativity Scholarship Program. Earlier this year, I was honored to be selected as a Relativity Scholar. RelFest Chicago brings together legal, compliance, and technology professionals from around the world to discuss developments in e-discovery, litigation support, and legal technology. As a Litigation Paralegal with Donohue Brown Smyth LLC, I am grateful for the firm's support and for the opportunity to represent the firm while expanding my knowledge of e-discovery, document review, and legal technology. The insights gained from RelativityFest, mentorship opportunities, and future Relativity certifications will directly support my work and professional development. I would like to thank Loyola University Chicago, especially Professor Ryan Burke, whose encouragement was instrumental in my decision to apply for the Relativity Scholarship Program. I am also grateful to my scholarship mentor, Greg Huston, who has been generous with his time, knowledge, and encouragement and has offered guidance that extends well beyond the scholarship program itself. A special thank you to Janice Hollman, whose work coordinating the Relativity Scholarship Program and supporting both scholars and mentors has helped make this experience possible. Thank you to Relativity for this opportunity and to everyone who has supported my professional growth. I look forward to an outstanding week of learning, networking, and representing Donohue Brown Smyth. #RelativityFest #Relativity #EDiscovery #LegalTechnology #LitigationSupport #Paralegal #ProfessionalDevelopment Photo courtesy of Relativity Academics (RelFest Chicago Student Scholarships).

Phil Saunders liked thisPhil Saunders liked thisThe genie is out of the bottle. 🧞 For law firms and corporate legal teams, AI adoption is no longer a question of if. It’s already changing how legal work gets done. Your lawyers are experimenting with it. Your clients are asking about it. Your competitors are investing in it. And the firms and legal departments that figure out how to use AI effectively are positioning themselves to deliver legal services with greater speed, efficiency, and value. If you’re worried your team is falling behind, the answer isn’t to panic—or to chase every new AI tool. It’s to identify where AI can make a meaningful difference now, while putting the right governance, security, and professional safeguards in place. The genie is out of the bottle. The question now is: What are you going to ask it to do? If your firm or legal department is still figuring that out, let’s start the conversation. Trustpoint. One can identify a few practical, high-value opportunities to put AI to work—and build a roadmap for moving forward with confidence. Don’t wait for AI to change legal work around you. Start shaping how it changes yours. #RelFest2026 #Relativity #RelaiR

Phil Saunders liked thisPhil Saunders liked thisThe latest State of Markets report from Andreessen Horowitz has one line I keep coming back to 🧐 86% of US venture deal value this year has gone to AI-related companies. That's the headline. Underneath it, a16z notes that venture money is now reaching services investors used to skip, and legal is one of the examples they name. When we started the The LegalTech Fund in 2020, most investors had never had to think about legal. People did the work, billed by the hour, and it was hard to fit into a software model. AI makes the work itself buildable 🧱 Drafting, review, intake and research are all things a product can now take on inside a legal team, and investors have noticed. For founders, that means more capital and more competition for it. The founders who stand out will know one practice area deeply and can show real results inside a firm's workflow. Where do you think the next piece of legal work turns into software?
