The new Motion booth was as good as billed and my eyes were opened wide to the tremendous growth opportunities in this industry segment. Water, water, water and all things water continues to grow, with no sharp boom and bust cycles. 😀 Motion is building out a strategy and team to provide our customers the support they are demanding, from technical specialists to vendor alignment, Motion is focused. Thank you to the NHA for bringing insights from power providers on what the future holds and for a week of meeting with long time customers as well as new. The puppy lounge was a fun touch!Sarah McCarson, MBA liked thisOn the last day of Clean Currents, attendees gathered to hear from industry leaders, who shared big updates about their work and future plans. Aubrey Bettencourt, Principal Deputy Commissioner at Bureau of Reclamation - U.S. Department of the Interior, revealed to attendees that Reclamation plans on increasing hydropower generation at their facilities by 25%, sharing with the audience a pertinent mantra “power in service of water.” Following Principal Deputy Commissioner Bettencourt, Spencer McMahon, Senior Manager – Power Generation Major Projects at Salt River Project, discussed SRP’s proposed pumped storage hydropower project under development from Roosevelt Dam; the PSH project should reach full operation by 2035. The plenary also served to honor the winners of NHA’s inaugural Achievements in Water Power Awards, which celebrates impactful achievements across the U.S. water power industry. The winning organizations, selected by judges representing a wide swath of the industry, were Salt River Project and McMillen! Last but not least, Debbie Mursch, former Director of Business Development at GE Renewable Energy - Hydro, who served on NHA’s board and was instrumental in starting the Hydropower Collegiate Competition and Clean Currents, received our highest honor for a lifetime dedicated to hydropower – The Henwood Award!

It was a great reminder of what makes our industry and customers so special. To my surprise, the Louisville market is incredibly diverse with customers representing a wide range of industries applications and business needs. There was a tremendous turnout of customers and fellow MI employees coming together to preview products supplied by Motion, enjoy good conversation and fellowship with our customers and suppliers, with some bbq to boot! Events like this, provide a valuable opportunity to strengthen our customer relationships and thank them for their business. If you know me, anytime I have the opportunity to sell the features and benefits of the patented MI Lube Caddy…..I am in A big thanks to the Louisville division and all who work so hard to make this event a success. A special shout out our local MI repair & Services specialist Dean Donoho (pictured with me)👏👏 #MI Repair & Services 💪
