The value “Dream Big, Start Small” is applicable in all of our lives. — A beautiful example of ‘Dream Big, Start Small’ is with scott harrison. Millions have already heard his story. Maybe you have to. Scott’s goal is to help end our global water crisis in our lifetime. But Scott had to start somewhere. In 2006, Scott founded charity: water by starting small. He used his birthday to fund a water project in Uganda. In 2026, 20 years later, Scott and the charity: water team have raised $1B+ for 21.5M+ people by building 209K+ water projects around the world. Today, there are still 700M people around the world who drink dirty water. Did you know? Dirty water is responsible for more death in the world than all forms of violence, including war. When (not if) we solve the global water crisis in our lifetime, it’s because of a big dream that started small. — When you really think about it, in business (and in life) everything starts small. Maggie Phillips joined Daffy in 2023 and gives to GiGi's Playhouse in Denver, a free therapeutic and educational program for people with Down syndrome. In her words, “Every program is thoughtfully designed to help participants build skills. Each playhouse is a beautiful brick-and-mortar facility that provides a place for the community to gather and inspires joy for families.” That's one of 100,000 donations Daffy members have made to charities across the country, representing over $300 million in giving to more than 18,800 organizations. We started Daffy because we believed a donor-advised fund, done right, could help people be more generous, more often. 100,000 donations later, I'm more convinced than ever. If you're one of the members behind these 100,000 donations, thank you. We're even more excited about the road to a million 🚀

At the Victorious & Graceland Initiative (VGI), an off-grid orphanage in rural Uganda, firewood now costs $430 per truckload, triple what it cost just three years ago. Build4Hope is launching a focused $5,000 campaign to support VGI and its local leader, Victor, with: • Solar power: approximately $3,000 • Fuel-efficient eco-cookers: approximately $2,000 The eco-cookers use about 85% less fuel, reducing ongoing costs and pressure on local resources. Solar power will provide reliable internet, night lighting, and the foundation for future clinic instruments and an electric water pump. This is Build4Hope's model in action: a vetted local leader, one concrete project, transparent costs, and sustainable, community-led impact. We are not imposing an outside solution. We are helping strengthen work that Victor and his community are already leading.
