Yuma Bella Noir liked thisYuma Bella Noir liked thisOCOA Beauty on Primer Impacto. 🇩🇴💚 Our founders, Cory and Nicol, started OCOA with a homemade formula in their kitchen and a personal mission: to create haircare that reflected their own needs, their Dominican roots, and the community they wanted to serve. That kitchen formula has grown into a brand now available at Ulta Beauty and Amazon, but the heart of it is still the same. OCOA has always been about honoring where we come from while creating products that make textured haircare feel more thoughtful, intentional, and rooted in real experience. Thank you to Univision's Primer Impacto for sharing our story, and to every customer, creator, partner, friend, and family member who has supported OCOA along the way. From Ocoa to shelves, screens, and hair routines across the country, we’re grateful to keep growing with this community. 💚 #OcoaBeauty #HispanicHeritageMonth #PrimerImpacto

Yuma Bella Noir liked thisYuma Bella Noir liked thisThe weekend was a healthy reminder of, and sort of crystal ball for, what’s possible in the umbrella of Beauty & Wellness and my appreciation to be seen as a legacy in the making. I was chosen to be part of the Latinas in Beauty 2026 Beauty Bravura Cohort in partnership with Pepperdine Graziadio Business School and soaked in so many nuggets of wisdom and inspiration, you would’ve sworn I ordered a 50pc from a drive-thru. I leave feeling very blessed, optimistic, recharged, refreshed, and empowered. It did its job. The week introduced me to so many brilliant new people from all over that want to see me, see MATTEO PARFUMS, and see our communities win and thrive. I have enormous visions and goals for my fragrance company. A heartfelt thank you is in order for the trio that makes it all happen Emily, Nadine, and Margarita Arriagada. This "thank you" extends to the executive team and representatives like Aurora Archer (the absolute best narrator & speaker), Alicia Romero (viva vibrant is the perfect name for what you innately bring), Esther Aguilera, CEPA® (your presence and knowledge is felt, welcoming, and valuable), all of our panelist and special guests, and anyone I'm unable to tag but does not go unnoticed. It’s an honor. I speak for our entire cohort when I say, I’m forever grateful for these last few days in Malibu. This week provided a reflection of why I believe community and relationships matter most. All it takes is 1 “yes”. 1 person to believe in your vision. 1 person to bring you to the table and catapult you in the right directions. 1 “yes” ❤️ As Hispanic Heritage Month kicks off, I’ll leave with this: we chase ambitions, create opportunities, make plans, pivot, travel, and continuously think about what's next. Ultimately, the relationships we form along the way are what make the journey meaningful. The relationships closest to us can have a profound influence on who we become and how we move through life. Make them count, make them genuine. #matteoparfums #fragrance #beautyfounder #losangeles #latinasinbeauty

Yuma Bella Noir liked thisYuma Bella Noir liked thisI was lucky to attend the 2nd annual Beauty Bravura Accelerator program at Pepperdine University. I was awarded a scholarship from Latinas in Beauty, sponsored by Nordstrom! This means more to me than I can put into words. As a Latina founder, seeing organizations invest in women like me is a reminder that our voices, our talent, and our dreams belong in this industry. Thank you to the Latinas in Beauty team for building a community that lifts others up, and to Nordstrom for supporting the next generation of Latinas in beauty. Your investment will help me grow mi|tu corazón into a intentional beauty brand that gives back to the Latin community that inspired it. I can't wait to pay it forward. 💄

Yuma Bella Noir liked thisYuma Bella Noir liked thisSometimes you have to stop long enough to look back at how far you’ve come. This year’s JCPenney Market Meeting was centered around reflection, so we wore silver as our reminder to look in the mirror and say: We did that. 🥹 Exactly one year ago, we launched 40 shades of Shades By Shan foundation nationwide. Today, we’re the #1 selling foundation at JCPenney, #2 in concealer and continue to hold the #1 spot in brows. As an operator, I’m usually looking forward. What’s next? What needs fixing? Where can we improve? What do the numbers say? So stopping to celebrate doesn’t always come naturally to me. But this one deserved it. We started Shades By Shan in our mom’s basement, packing orders in her garage and figuring things out as we went. When the JCPenney opportunity came along, plenty of people told us not to do it. We heard all the reasons it wouldn’t work. We bet on ourselves anyway. And JCPenney bet on us. We took that opportunity seriously. We visited 610 stores. Built relationships that turned beauty associates into ambassadors. Studied the numbers every week. Listened, adjusted and kept showing up. Because getting onto the shelf was never the finish line. Earning our place on it every single day was. So for a moment, I’m letting myself stop thinking about what’s next and appreciate what we’ve already built. From our mom’s basement to #1 at a national retailer. I’m incredibly proud of my sister, our team and the women we’ve had to become to get here. And we’re nowhere near done. Sometimes betting on yourself is the riskiest decision in the room. And sometimes, it’s the one that changes everything. 🤍

Yuma Bella Noir liked thisYuma Bella Noir liked this39. My last year before 40. And apparently Level 4 is where things get really good, so I’m choosing to believe the hype. 😂 I spent my birthday surrounded by so many pieces of the life I’ve built. My husband and daughter. My sister and business family. Friends and partners from IPSY and JCPenney. And an incredible community of Latina founders and leaders at Latinas in Beauty Looking through these pictures, one of the biggest lessons of my 30s became pretty clear: Success is so much better when you have people to share it with. I've learned that relationships will take you further than almost anything else. That being good at what you do matters, but being someone people trust matters even more. That you should ask for what you want. And definitely learn how to close. 😉 That you need to know your numbers. That most "overnight successes" are actually years of showing up when nobody was watching. And that becoming a mom will completely redefine what you consider important. At 39, I'm still ambitious. Still building. Still saying yes to things that scare me. Still figuring plenty of things out. But I'm also learning to look around and appreciate the people standing next to me. Because businesses will grow. Goals will get bigger. But the people you get to celebrate those moments with are what make any of it worth it. So here's to 39. One more year of Level 3. And then apparently the real fun begins. 😂🤍

Yuma Bella Noir liked thisYuma Bella Noir liked thisA Mexican beauty brand just landed in 600+ Target stores across the U.S. 🔥💄 And what I love most about the SARELLY story is that they didn’t have to become less Mexican to get there. Anna Sarelly Cornejo built a community by deeply understanding a consumer who has too often been treated as an adaptation, rather than the starting point. SARELLY did the opposite. Telenovelas, lucha libre, abuelas, humor, Latina beauty rituals. None of it feels added on for marketing. It is simply part of the brand. And now that point of view is scaling in the U.S. The decision behind Target is also a great example of listening to the consumer. After testing the U.S. market, SARELLY analyzed its first 25,000 American customers and found that 63% were already shopping at Target. They followed where their consumer already was. As a Latina founder, I find this story especially exciting. For a long time, going global seemed to mean making yourself more neutral, more universal, somehow less specific. SARELLY is a great reminder that the opposite can also be true. Knowing exactly who you are, who you are building for and what makes your culture distinctive can be a growth strategy in itself. Congratulations to Anna Sarelly Cornejo, Rémi Martini, Quentin Tran and the entire team. 🇲🇽 #LatinaFounders #MexicanBrands #BrandBuilding #Beauty

The conversation, the energy, the shared pride; it was a reminder of how much stronger we are when we build community with intention. ❤️🔥 Thank you to Ulta Beauty, Latinas in Beauty, Emily Perez, Nadine M. Tapia, and everyone who participated and contributed to hosting such a beautiful evening at Mission Ceviche in Union Square. Here's to continuing to open doors for each other. 🤍 #HispanicHeritageMonth #LatinasInBeauty #UltaBeauty #BeautyIndustry #Community
