Michelle Henery’s Post

"Michelle is a pleasure to have in class. Her gift for talking will serve her well one day, however for now, a little less of it would be welcome." My second-grade teacher wrote that (in fact, most of my teachers expressed some version of this). Mrs. Facchiano, wherever you are, the talking has indeed worked out. This fall, I've been invited to talk in three very different rooms. September 30 | Collaborate. The Unconference, Vital Voices Global Partnership, Washington, DC I'll lead a Spark Lab on Amplify, Attribute, Advance: what we can do in the moment to make sure women's ideas are heard, credited, and built on. October 9 | SABEW Personal Finance Summit, NYC I'll join a panel on how business and finance journalists can use video as a storytelling tool. November 4 | Chief, NYC I'll lead an interactive session for members on showing up with presence on camera, from Zoom calls to social media feed. A lab, panel, and workshop all spanning different audiences and formats, all connected by a question at the heart of my work: helping people and their ideas be heard. If you attend any of these events, let's meet! If you're planning a program on leadership, media, or communication, I'd love to find out more and see if I can help.

Awesome teacher’s comment - a real clairvoyant 🔮

Haha wonderful! I had very similar comments, minus the “pleasure to have in class” 😬 but I can well imagine, that even as a child, you were a pleasure do have around!
