Formerly known as Solar Together Cheshire, the scheme has already supported more than 560 installations in Cheshire East since 2023, with over 6,500 solar panels installed and an estimated reduction of almost 468 tonnes of CO₂. Across Cheshire and Warrington, the initiative has delivered more than 1,350 installations, demonstrating how collective action can help residents generate clean energy, reduce reliance on the grid and contribute to a more sustainable future. Meet the solar farm that kept New Cross Hospital running on self-generated renewable electricity for the whole summer ☀️   Delivered in partnership with The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust and the City of Wolverhampton Council, the 15,200-panel solar farm has transformed how the hospital is powered.   Connected to New Cross Hospital via a 1.5-mile private wire, the scheme is expected to provide around 75% of the hospital's annual electricity demand, reduce carbon emissions by approximately 1,450 tonnes each year, and save the Trust up to £20 million over the next 20 years.   Read more about the project here:https://lnkd.in/ercvjSbq #solar #decarbonisation #healthcare

Proud to see the impact of the work we’ve been delivering at Energise Sussex Coast captured in our April 2025–March 2026 Impact Report. It’s been a big year for turning community energy ambitions into real projects. We launched and now progressing Blackfriars Solar Project, bringing solar and community batteries to 200 new homes including 130 social homes. We also secured planning permission for the Crowhurst Community Solar Farm. It’s also great to see more community solar being delivered, with new PV installations at Pebsham and Tilling Green Community Centres, helping cut energy costs and carbon emissions for local organisations. I’m proud to be contributing to work that combines renewable energy, battery storage and flexibility with real benefits for local communities.
