Think you understand SDVs? These 10 moments from Coffee Talk #13 might change your mind. 𝗟𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁’𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻: 𝗦𝗗𝗩𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝘂𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱, 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲. ⸻ 🔹 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝘆 & 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 ~05:00 → Scaling SDV platforms is more about governance and supplier alignment than code. ~18:00 → 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘃𝘀. 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 — SOP-driven projects block evolution; SDVs demand continuous product logic. ~45:00 → 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘃𝘀. 𝗳𝗹𝗼𝘄 — SDVs require calm, continuous alignment instead of late-stage task forces. ⸻ 🔹 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 & 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 ~14:00 → 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 #𝟭 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗰𝗸 — HiL-first setups cannot cope; continuous, simulation-driven validation is the way forward. ~27:00 → 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 — weeks-long queues kill momentum; 24h cycles must be the benchmark. ~33:00 → 𝗧𝗼𝗼𝗹𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 — dynamic traceability is the missing backbone. ⸻ 🔹 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 & 𝗥𝗲𝘂𝘀𝗲 ~22:00 → 𝗥𝗲𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 — code, tests, architectures, and lessons learned must live across projects and generations. ~37:00 → 𝗩𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗮𝗻’𝘁 𝗯𝗲 𝗯𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗲-𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗱 — slicing, abstraction, and smarter strategies are essential. ⸻ 🔹 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘅𝘁 ~30:00 → 𝗦𝗶𝗹𝗼𝘀 𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗱 — integration is as cultural as it is technical. ~41:00 → 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝘃𝘀. 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲 — speed alone isn’t enough, compliance alone isn’t enough. The winners will master both. ⸻ ✨ Big thanks to Dr. Fatih Tekin for hosting and guiding the discussion — and to Emil Dautovic for sharing the stage with me. 🎥 Replay available: 📍 LinkedIn Live: https://lnkd.in/dPErnPsH 📍 YouTube: https://lnkd.in/dbDMgptv 💡 Want to help shape the future of SDV? Highly recommend this video, which showcases the power of profiling specifically, how to use Go's tooling to identify and fix memory allocation hotspots and tune runtime settings, such as GOMAXPROCS. A brilliant real-world case study in leveraging sync.Pool for dramatic latency improvements. https://lnkd.in/dHzcJ_ud #golang #godeveloper

The Eclipse SDV Hackathon once again showed how much creativity and collaboration drive the software-defined vehicle community. Congratulations to the winning team ArBytesMoral from CarBytes, who used Ankaios in the SDV Lab challenge to deploy containerized workloads for their in-vehicle virtual assistant, CarMate. Their impressive demo showed how an entire solution can be deployed with one simple command; a powerful example of how Ankaios simplifies workload orchestration and even supports AI workloads through containerization and updateability. This hackathon highlighted that integration across the SDV ecosystem is just as critical as coding individual components. Thanks to the hack coaches, organizers, and Hack MCs for their support, knowledge, and great energy that made the event run smoothly from start to finish. 💡 At CTW Summit, Licínio Oliveira, Cluster Head at Critical TechWorks, explored how software is redefining what vehicles can be. The iX3 - from Neue Klasse generation stands as BMW’s most ambitious and powerful production vehicle — a milestone that proves the future of mobility is being written in code, as Licínio said. 🚙 #CriticalTechWorks #Agile #Software #BMWGroup #TechEvents #ArtificialIntelligence #AIEngineering
