Credentials shouldn’t depend on PDFs. And verification shouldn’t take days. NOVA IMS is now issuing academic credentials as Verifiable Credentials, using blockchain technology aligned with W3C standards, OpenID, and the EBSI pilot. It’s the first production rollout of its kind in Portugal, placing NOVA IMS among Europe’s early adopters. Students can store credentials in their own digital wallet and share proof of a qualification in seconds with employers and institutions – who can verify authenticity automatically, reducing friction and fraud risk. The NOVA IMS Academic Credential Portal was developed by the Nova Blockchain Lab at NOVA IMS, led by Joana Rodrigues Pereira, with development by Francisco Ribeiro. NOVA IMS Dean, Miguel de Castro Neto, highlights its value for students and employers: “As a public school, we have a responsibility to lead solutions that bring real value to the country and to higher education. 🚀 Sharing KairosChain — an experimental framework for auditable AI skill evolution. As AI agents increasingly modify their own skills, I wanted to explore a question: "How can we trace how an AI's capabilities were formed?" Current systems often leave no record of skill changes. KairosChain is my attempt to address this, using a legal-system-inspired layered architecture (see diagram): 📜 L0 (Constitution/Law) — Core philosophy + meta-rules with full blockchain record 📋 L1 (Ordinance) — Project knowledge with hash-only tracking 📝 L2 (Directive) — Free exploration space for AI hypotheses The goal is to implement a Minimum-Nomic principle: evolvable but auditable systems. 🔬📚Research Publication | Proud Moment Happy to share that our research paper "Medi Track: A High-Originality Review of a Blockchain and XGBoost-Based Framework for Antimicrobial Stewardship and Food Safety" has been officially published in the International Journal of Students' Research in Technology & Management (Vol. 14, No. 1, 2026). 📌What the research focuses on: The paper proposes a technology-driven framework that combines Blockchain for secure and transparent antimicrobial usage records with XGBoost-based machine learning models to predict Maximum Residue Limit (MRL) violation risks in livestock systems. The goal is to strengthen food safety, traceability, and data-driven decision-making in antimicrobial stewardship. 🧠My contribution: I worked on the machine learning component, including model training, tuning, and evaluation, focusing on predicting residue risk patterns using supervised learning techniques.
