There is no doubt that Food Scientists and Food Technologists are important in our food companies. They often act as Quarterbacks on important projects in many areas. However, they are one part of a team that supports most food projects. It may be misguided to say they directly do all the areas listed above. If they did a project will be slow to market.

You forgot ideation, culinary and commercialization expertise as well as building customer relationships, sales, product cost evaluation and ingredient sourcing.

Food scientists aim to protect our food sources thru agriculture science, safe harvest and transport thru testing and block chain, our heroic employees during this time of pandemic when everyone still has to eat. There are hundreds of people thinking about and tending to each bite each person takes. ❤️
