Improve your SketchUp ArchViz material workflow. 1. Organize your model structure 2. Create, name, and assign placeholder materials to faces 3. Replace material IDs in D5, Twinmotion, Unreal, V-Ray, or others Professional tip: Automate step 2 and turn hours of render prep into seconds.

Do you know of a way to automate this step?

How are you naming / prompting your paint colors? Is it based off paint company (ex. Sherwin-Williams), hex color or something else? How consistent are they versus the real life painy swatches?

This step is what takes the time so getting it right before the model leaves sketchup saves SOOOOO much time!

We love a design development post 👏

I also do like this when designing for renderings I use place holder materials in sketchup so that rendering becomes faster And yes Grouping and organising your designing go a long way too Thanks for sharing
