🚽 Believe it or not, information on wastewater systems people use has been one of the most frequently requested housing data points by a wide range of federal partners, trade associations, and local governments. New American Community Survey data show that about 118 million housing units (near 80%) reported being connected to a public sewer and about 28.5 million reported being connected to a septic system.
