Students don’t just need to learn about AI. They need chances to build with it. We’re seeing students use Codex to build study assistants that support personalized learning, portfolio websites, research tools that uncover patterns in data, and side projects born from curiosity. That kind of building matters. In a rapidly evolving job market, using AI to create something tangible shows more than familiarity with a new technology. It can reflect initiative, applied skill, creativity, and the confidence to turn an idea into something useful. That’s why we’re working with Handshake on the Codex Creator Challenge. It’s an opportunity for students to create and share projects that make their skills visible to employers searching for the next generation of builders. What’s the most compelling project you’ve seen a student build with Codex? https://lnkd.in/gkU22xJD

We are on a search to find 26 remarkable students (18 - 25, based in the US or Canada) creating new possibilities with AI. The Class of 2026 will graduate as the first class to go through the college experience with ChatGPT. We’ve watched as the most high-agency students used AI to extend their own capabilities and create new opportunities beyond school — often in ways other generations never could. We’re eager to celebrate and support a special few this spring — connecting them in community, hosting them at HQ in SF, sharing their story, giving them access to our latest tech, and gifting a $10K grant to keep pushing their ideas forward. You can learn more here plus nominate someone! chatgpt.com/chatgpt-26

🇿🇦 Wonderful to see Dr Anthony Kaziboni launching this important research preview at the University of Johannesburg's Centre for Social Development in Africa. Over the past year, Anthony and colleagues have been exploring what it looks like to move beyond generic AI tools and instead build customised, discipline-specific AI support for postgraduate students - grounded in pedagogy, research, and responsible implementation, in support of SDG 4. On 26 March, Anthony will take us behind the scenes on his work evaluating two custom GPTs, SociBot and Ulwazi, designed to support postgraduate teaching, learning, and supervision in Sociology and Social Policy and Development. Excited to join him and meet Profs Helen CROMPTON, Jeanne Beatrix Law, PhD, Muhsinah Morris, Ph.D and Sadiyya Haffejee! ChatGPT for Education Mamie Rheingold Emmanuel Lubanzadio Rachel Brown

ChatGPT now includes dynamic visual explanations for math and science, helping students explore how formulas, variables, and graphs change in real time. Students can adjust variables, manipulate equations, and instantly see how changes affect graphs and outcomes, turning abstract ideas into something they can experiment with. In early testing: ✔️ Students said the interactive experience helped them better understand how variables relate to one another ✔️ Parents found it easier to walk through problems alongside their kids ✔️ Educators said tools like this could help students grasp how concepts work instead of just memorizing formulas This is only the beginning. We’re continuing to build on this experience with more subjects and interactive learning tools planned over time. https://lnkd.in/g8npr-4Q Here’s what Anjini Grover, a Mathematics Teacher at Stevenson High School, Lincolnshire, IL shared. 👇

Skills are launching in beta to ChatGPT Edu! You can now turn proven workflows into skills that ChatGPT can use automatically — so teams get better results, standardize best practices, and save time. For schools and universities, this offers consistency at scale. Administrators can define how a task should be done once, and ensure that approach carries across classrooms, departments, and teams. Here’s how Hugh Gourgeon of Challenger School Foundation said skills helped them in early testing 👇

Across the world, we’re seeing a growing gap between what AI can do and how people are actually using it. Education systems are uniquely positioned to help close this capability gap for the next generation, helping them thrive in the Intelligence Age — and many already are. From campus-wide ChatGPT Edu deployments to helping students build, research, and measure learning outcomes, universities are playing a central role in helping students develop powerful AI skills. Supporting a wide range of institutions to meet this moment is a core focus of our work in education. ChatGPT has become one of the most widely used learning tools in the world. But the key question is still unanswered: is it actually improving how people learn? Most approaches to study this focus on short-term performance, which do not capture how learners actually interact with AI, or how those interactions shape outcomes over time. Today, we’re introducing a new framework to change that, developed in partnership with SCALE Initiative at Stanford University and Estonia’s University of Tartu. The Learning Outcomes Measurement Suite is a new framework designed to measure how AI impacts learning over time, across real-world contexts. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eU-5NeKn
