The American Cancer Society has released Cancer Facts & Figures 2026, marking meaningful progress to celebrate. For the first time ever, cancer survival rates have reached an all-time high—70% of people now survive at least five years after a cancer diagnosis. This milestone reflects decades of research, advocacy, and the unwavering dedication of our volunteers. At the same time, our work is far from finished.
