Even some of the simplest changes in a dental practice can save huge amounts of energy. This collection of articles explores sustainability and dentistry, highlighting meaningful, actionable changes that could be made now by the dental team to reduce our envirionmental footprint.
Fluoride
Submission deadline: 30 June 2026.
Fluoride has proven benefit in reducing the risk for dental caries, benefitting populations worldwide and across the lifespan. This collection features articles that have addressed fluoride use in dentistry, including biological principles and discussion of impacts and ethics of water fluoridation.

Mental Health

This collection from the BDJ explores the psychological challenges faced by dental professionals, both in practice and in training. Issues range from mental well-being, stress, anxiety and burnout. It aims to foster a deeper understanding of mental health in the dental field and provide strategies for creating healthier, more supportive environments.

These articles explore the topic of oral medicine. Together they look at the diagnosis, management and challenges of various conditions including skin cancer, oral dysaesthesia, lichen planus, and oral mucosal disease.
