The official groundbreaking ceremony to upgrade a total of 2.190 kilometers of the Kagamuga Airport runway in Mt Hagen, Western Highlands Province was done on Tuesday 28th April 2026 in Mt Hagen near the Kagamuga Airport.
The ceremony marked the official kick start of the K39.4 million project fully funded by the National Airports Corporation (NAC) to fully upgrade the runway at Kagamuga.
