We have enhanced our production with equipment for angle polishing of optical fibers, supporting both individual fibers and ribbon structures. This enables us to meet custom requirements across various fiber optic assemblies.

The equipment allows polishing angles from 0° to 45°, reducing back reflections and improving signal integrity where angled end-faces are needed.

We process ribbon fibers with 8, 12, or 16 fibers, used in high-density interconnects, optical transceivers, and PIC packaging. Polished ribbon ends ensure low insertion loss and high consistency for fiber arrays and multi-channel interfaces.

Polished individual fibers are used in optical sensing, aerospace, R&D, and test setups, where angled polishing optimizes return loss and interface performance.

This in-house capability gives us full control over the polishing process, offering custom-tailored solutions for standard and non-standard configurations, even in low to medium volumes.

Flexible optical fiber circuits optimize complex optical fiber routing with high fiber counts, addressing fiber management issues. Features include high fiber count in racks or on PCBs, flexibility, and lightweight design for SM or MM applications. The Optical Fiber Flex circuit, an Optical Circuit Board (OCB), accommodates numerous fibers and FO connectors, varying in shape, size, and thickness. Components are fixed on Kapton polyamide layers, using primary coated fibers of ≤250 µm. These devices are suitable for telecom satellites and other harsh environment applications.
