Our Approach
As we grapple with complex questions and pressing challenges – from equitable vaccine and drug distribution to health worker burnout – we work to bring the necessary knowledge, collaboration, and evidence in four key areas.
Convene
We convene thought leaders and stakeholders to visualize solutions to difficult challenges and reimagine global health with compassion and ethics at its heart.
Consult
We provide perspective and resources to those asking important questions about ethical practice and support the cultivation of compassionate leaders and health systems.
Research
Through research, we generate evidence that can guide global health efforts to cultivate compassionate health systems and find innovative approaches to address human suffering.
Educate & Train
We develop and disseminate materials to educate and equip students and practitioners, either informally or through training and higher education.
Our Team
Ashley Graham, PhD, MA, MJ
Director of Ethics and Applied Research
Ashley is a medical anthropologist interested in global health ethics, maternal/neonatal health, and vaccines. She is passionate about bringing communities’ experiences, perspectives, and interests to the heart of global health practice. She loves trying foods from around the world, exploring new places, and doing anything outside. Currently, her greatest adventure is as ‘Mama.’

Associate Director of Operations
Amy is a socially and globally focused public health professional, seeking to secure a voice and dignified standard of living for the least heard and visible communities via partnerships they own. Forever curious and driven by care as an experienced project manager and researcher, you may find her asking questions like “Who have we forgotten?”, “What assumptions are we making?”, and “Have we adequately incorporated human context into this initiative?”

Letheshia Husbands, MPH, CSM, PMP
Senior Project Manager
Letheshia is a dedicated steward of public health whose work across global and domestic initiatives is driven by a passion for health equity and community impact. She is committed to the ethical practice of public health and ensuring research is grounded in fairness for the communities served. An avid traveler with a keen interest in art and architecture, Letheshia loves exploring how design and cultural expression reflect the unique identity of the places she visits.

Special Advisor
David, Founder of FACE, is a public health doctor whose meandering career has involved migrant health, mountain medicine, neglected tropical diseases, research, philanthropy, and global health. An opportunity to study public health at Johns Hopkins University rescued him from a decadent life as a climbing bum in Yosemite.
