When you order products for delivery to destinations outside the U.S., you are considered the Importer of Record. This means you are responsible for:
- Ensuring that the items comply with the import laws of the destination country.
- Paying any applicable import fees, which will be estimated and displayed at checkout, and paid to the relevant authorities on your behalf. In checkout, these fees may be referred to as “import fees”, “import fee deposit”, “import charges” or similar.
How import fees are determined
Import Fees vary by destination and may typically be determined by:
- Destination regulation
- Product Category
- Value
- Shipping method
Import Fees typically include:
- Carrier fees
- Customs clearance and filing fees
- Customs duties, import taxes and fees, and related amounts
Important Information
These fees are estimates and may differ from the actual amounts ultimately paid.
- If the actual fees are lower than estimated, you will automatically receive a refund for the difference.
- If the actual fees are higher, you will not be charged anything additional.
The fees are collected at checkout, and a third-party service will manage customs processing and submit the required payments to the appropriate authorities on your behalf.
