Motivation
[edit]ScriptSource (Q127512955) is an online reference work for writing systems, developed by SIL Global (Q14793). Each script listed in ScriptSource is assigned a four-character reference code based on the ISO 15924 alpha-4 code (Q19842564). For example, Fraktur is assigned the code “Latf”.
If a script does not have an existing ISO 15924 alpha-4 code, ScriptSource assigns a new code following the same format; for example, Badagu is assigned “Qabq”.
