Fun fact, as a unique ethnicity, Black Americans rank 3rd in patents, only behind the British and Germans. They rank ahead of every unique Asian and Hispanic/Latino ethnicity, and all other European ethnicities.

The flagship elite schools are going to hoover up students from the regional schools. The mid-tier regional schools are going to just shut down or consolidate.

There are a dozen public universities in the state of Illinois. Just two of them have recorded any significant growth. The University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (+41%) The University of Illinois - Chicago (+37%) 8 of the 12 have recorded double digit enrollment losses.
