Quick solstice reminder — seasons don’t change because the earth wobbles.
I mean it does a slow kinda wobble that takes 26,000 years.
But we are mostly fixed at the axis and the earth’s position around the sun shifts which hemisphere gets more direct sun.
15 hours, 13 minutes, 41 seconds of daylight.
We made it to the top!
Tomorrow we lose 3 seconds of daylight.
Try not to despair:
Latest sunset still a few days away.
49 post 8p sunsets left.
Still a ton of daylight to soak in, Chicago!
While sunsets creep later till June 27th, and we add a bit more daylight overall till June 21, it is a SLIGHT bummer that we’ve already passed our earliest sunrise of the year, which was yesterday.
Still, 62 more days of sunrises before 6am.
54 more sunsets post 8p. Enjoy!!
