    I’ve had lots of jobs — bartender, Teamster, union leader, 20-year firefighter. Now, the biggest problem we face is a Washington that burns working people. I’m running for Congress in one of the closest districts to take on the billionaires and big corporations holding us back.

    Enough of all this Lake America crap. Focus on bringing down gas and grocery prices. End the damn war. Fund universal healthcare. For crying out loud, these Republicans in DC would rather do anything than make life better for working people. Ryan Mackenzie is Exhibit A.

    It was on this day 62 years ago that LBJ signed the bill that made the SNAP program permanent. As someone who relied on food stamps as a kid, I couldn't be more grateful that he did. Unfortunately, today isn't exactly a cause for celebration. Career politicians like Ryan
