    From the foremost expert on Venezuelan oil: Reserves in the country are vastly overstated (on Hugo Chavez's orders). They officially assume a 20% recovery rate in the vital Orinoco fields vs. 6-8% historically. So the U.S.'s 65 billion barrels may actually be 20-25 billion.
