Nice work with FFT[]

That game's pretty neglected on this wiki.Keltainentoukokuu 01:11, November 3, 2011 (UTC)

Like the first proper battle (with Delita as guest) is so dull because you only have Squires and Chemists. You can hit...or throw a rock...or use a Potion... ...aaargh. But then it gets better from there when you learn some abilities and new jobs and can customise your party proper. But I bet many people give up on just that first battle with wtf this is the dullest game ever made. ;) Check out the PSP cutscenes from YouTube or something, they're pretty nice.Keltainentoukokuu 01:31, November 3, 2011 (UTC)

I'll check up on them later. I don't think there is a big difference in item/equipment names, but there is stuff like Soft = Gold Needle. The ability names on the other hand are very different, the PSX version is known for not being translated very well. Many think the PSP translation is too lyrical, but I think it's great!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OPyRgkWnemw The best cutscene. A lot of it is of course info-dump, but, although basically being viewed a no-no in good storytelling that's so common in videogames they get away with it. The music, the images, they really knew what they were doing with these!Keltainentoukokuu 01:59, November 3, 2011 (UTC)

Isn't there a line that goes something like "the rebels are plotting rebellion" or something in the PSX translation? ;) Well no shit, someone give this Sherlock a reward. FFT original translation has some lines that aren't basically wrong, but are still stupid. And it says goal: defeat Dycedarg's elder brother, when you're supposed to defeat Dycedarg himself.
If you like this, you might like Tactics Ogre. It's by the same development team and is tonally similar. Kings and factions and whoever plot and clash. In FFT you're nobility, who "falls from grace", whereas in Tactics Ogre you are a peasant nobody-person who ends up caught in the class struggle. The big difference in Tactics Ogre is that your choices affect the outcome of the war. So there is more than one way to play the game. Look it up on Wikipedia or something! The newest "best ever" version is for PSP, but I know it exists for older platforms, so is available for emulating.Keltainentoukokuu 02:39, November 3, 2011 (UTC)

I just find Tactics Ogre kind of like a better version of FFT. I think it may be more difficult though. I haven't played the Tactics Advance series, but the setting for the first one sounds amazing. ;) Find a book from the library that takes you to a mystical imaginary world. This is brilliant! They should make that the plot of FFXV. ;)Keltainentoukokuu 02:50, November 3, 2011 (UTC)

About FFT, I'll let you know now (I frankly have no idea how to fix it other than make the tables a lot skinnier in Oasis by making it a two-column thing, like this): the tables are way too fat in Oasis on some of the pages, like Nelveska Temple (which I was just editing because of the links to disambiguations). The pages, though, are a lot better now that you're working on them. ~Shadow Catuse's war on vandalism 02:35, November 5, 2011 (UTC)

FFT New Ability Table[]

Hello Xenomic, I don't know where I read this on the final fantasy wikia. But I remember you mentioning that you wanted to put a little more description (more than what the game provided). Well, head over to http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_Final_Fantasy_Tactics_Enemy_Abilities and check out the new format I'm currently putting in (PS: there are so question marks that will need to be filled in). I've used the fft armor and tweak it and now there is a space to insert what you wanted to put inside such as hit % and stuff. If you modify the table a bit, you could put this table on all fft jobs and fft monsters across the wikia. I'm only doing the Enemy Ability's page personally, too much on my plate. Or seek others helps.

PS: I also read you were looking for FFT abilities pictures, was it the reaction, etc, or something else? Fenrir9 02:12, November 27, 2011 (UTC)

FFXII[]

FFXII totally is hands down the best mainseries FF game, especially the combat system. ;) First I would advise that you can and probably should differentiate between the party members a little bit. You don't have to buy every license for everyone right away. You can easily just keep the LP and not buy any licenses until something you need. Many weapons you never use. Having a party of one big guy damage dealer, one mage, one "support" works pretty well as the characters are also kinda laid out this way from the start with Vaan/Basch = damage, Fran/Balthier = support, Penelo/Ashe = mage. Then have a party with one each, and you can have two parties. I would suggest you level up everyone and not let someone get behind in the levels, it's useful to have two battle parties for later where you can swap in a new mage if your old one dies, etc. Then you can have attacker hack away, support to cast Haste and Bravery and whatever and Mage to attack with magic and heal. In my first game I gave everyone cure gambits, everyone cast haste gambits, everyone to just attack.... well it works like that too but really it makes a bit of a mess and it's just more...streamlined...if you dedicate these jobs a little. Plus you don't need to teach magic so much to your damage dealing dude, you can use their licenses to get weapons instead.

Just because you have two parties doesn't mean you need to buy twice as much equipment. Money's scarce in this game, I mean really. (250,000 gil to buy a Canopic Jar, 600,000 to buy Tournesol, you guys are taking the piss. The bazaar owners are all some kind of millionaires with these prizes.) Just buy one mystic armor gear and then swap the gear when you swap your mage. You'll save tons! You can only have three characters out at once, so you don't need any more equipment. Sure it's a bit of a nuisance to swap around, but come on, there is the auto equip function too, it's worth saving money on equipment.

There are a few things in the game that are not so obvious. Berserk is usually a bad status in most FF games, but in FFXII it makes you a god. Berserk boosts damage more than Bravery does and boosts speed more than Haste does, plus these buffs stack. Cast Berserk + Haste + Bravery to Vaan = win. Of course the Berserk guy is going to need support and cannot be the party leader, but that's why you got two others.

The game has a buff called Decoy that is supposed to draw enemy's attention to the afflicted character. It works if nothing else much is going on, but a character casting curative magic and especially, a character raising fallen allies, attracts enemies much more than Decoy does. So you might find enemies want to attack your mage. Some people like using Decoy but I didn't find it very useful. It runs out fast as hell too. If you want to attract enemy attention, cast Raise/Arise (even if it misses because the target is alive). This should pretty much get them.

Stats make a pretty big deal to the magic damage you do, that's why it's useful to have a mage and equip them with mystic armor and maybe even a staff. Katanas' damage is also affected by both strength and magic stats, so it's not a bad weapon for a mage. You'll notice some way in the game that the damage dealing characters make rubbish healers. The elemental staves boost the elemental damage by a lot (see this article) so it's good to keep those in your inventory even in late-game. Like cast Oil to Hellwyrm and equip Flame Staff and cast Firaga = great damage.

Guns ignore your strength stat and enemy's defense stat and Protect buff and always do 100% damage no matter what. That's why you see guns don't have such "good" stats in the weapon menu, but that doesn't mean their attack is terrible. They are good for a character like Fran who has poor stats (Fran uses guns pretty fast too).

Items don't use charge time. Sometimes throwing Phoenix Downs is better than using Arise. For damage dealer types that are not good with magic you can set emergency gambits to use items when in critical health, rather than curative magic.

The gambit system only uses the item/spell when needed. So if you set gambit ally:any = Antidote to the top slot, the character will use an Antidote when any ally gets afflicted with Poison. Set ally:any = Phoenix Down to everyone's top slot to revive fast (or Raise/Arise, but really Phoenix Downs are just really good in this game for reviving). If you set ally:any Haste the character will cast Haste whenever someone runs out. I find it better not to have everyone casting buffs all the time though, it gets annoying, but you can easily disable the gambits if you don't want them right now.

If you want to run through an area without attacking enemies, you don't need to use flee mode or take off all the gambits: you can just disable the attack gambits only and keep all the other gambits. You will probably only be using one attack gambit. Attack: foe:any or Attack foe:nearest visible do just fine, although I use Attack: foe:least HP when it comes available and then just use for the rest of the game.

You can make a good Steal gambit with Steal foe:HP 100% and put that before the attack gambit in the menu. The character may run away on their own to go steal from some faraway enemy like that, so they may need some micromanaging. Steal gambit is good for your "support" if you're going with damage + support + mage setup. It's a bit of waste of time steal with your best attacker.

Magic does good damage in this game and I would use it for offence at least against flying enemies. Use Charge Technick when you run out of MP. To stop your attacker with short-range weapon from hacking air, put foe:aerial: Fira/Knot of Rust (or anything you want) before your normal attack gambit in your menu. Knot of Rust isn't as shit as it sounds at first, you may find...

Lastly, checking this wiki for passive abilities bosses/marks have may be really useful. If a boss has ignore evasion, then your shield won't do shit, total waste of time even equipping one. Remember also that you don't always need to equip a weapon... in most FF games if you're weaponless, what suicide, but there were a few battles in FFXII where I would take off my weapons on purpose and equip only a shield and nothing else. You can cast magic just as fine without a weapon, and, plus, you can fight weaponless, and might find the damage isn't even half bad (and seeing Fran kick enemies in the face with her heels is hilarious). Also useful to check Augment (Final Fantasy XII) page (the ingame descriptions are ambiguous) and the List of Final Fantasy XII Accessories pages (the ingame accessory descriptions can be vague as well).

Have fun. ;)Keltainentoukokuu 16:14, November 29, 2011 (UTC)

If you're grinding, I think it's more worthwhile to grind for gil than for levels. Levels are not that big a deal in this game, just whatever levels you gain from normal play-through will do pretty much. Later bosses get stuff like damage cap on how much damage you can deal on them and instant death moves, so stuff like maxing strength and high HP don't really matter there...guess they made it like that so they would be a challenge even if you bother going all the way to lv99. From experience though, lv70 for endgame is just fine. If you play the game without doing much extra stuff you end up with like lv40 endgame, but if you do the marks and Espers then I think you'll get to lv70 just fine without having to try and find enemies that give good EXP.

In Golmore Jungle (where you're going next I assume) you can find Coeurls and get their pelts. They sell for good gil, so try there! Also, don't mind selling your old equipment and enemies also drop equipment sometimes that you can sell. Malboros are not too bad either for drops, but they're kinda annoying with their stupid statuses.

There is an accessory that lets your status attacks always stick, but I forget what it's called or where you get it (haha useful tips here).Keltainentoukokuu 17:03, November 30, 2011 (UTC)

Marilith is annoying to find, but just hang around in the area where it spawns long enough and occasionally visit the sunny corner it'll come eventually. Marilith always attacks the character nearest to it, so you can have one short range "bait" and two long range characters. If you blind Marilith it'll be much easier. Orthros isn't that bad, I think it's easier than White Mousse. You can completely fuck it with the Nihopalaoa if you get it, but then is a battle like that any fun? ;) I think the Orthros page on this wiki has some good tips.

Stat boosts at level up are randomised, although everyone follows a kind of path, so Fran will never gain as much random boosts as Basch.Keltainentoukokuu 20:02, November 30, 2011 (UTC)

You just gotta clear the one area where it appears. That's an easy area, but yeah if you go in deeper you're gonna run into tough guys. Hey, you could even do Adrammelech in the cave! It looks really hard at first but once you apply a bit of strategy you see it's doable. That's the best thing about FFXII I think. The zombies are a bitch but they don't spawn forever. Play with foe:aerial and foe:undead gambits, get something clever going. ;)Keltainentoukokuu 20:52, November 30, 2011 (UTC)

Cuchulainn is one of the harder battles, I think, because the battle has such a severe handicap. The longer you spend in that battle the worse your odds are, basically. I doubt Adrammelech would wipe you in one hit! Its special attack is lightning-elemental so any lightning-proof equipment would help. The zombies that spawn are the hard bit. I make a team with my hard-hitter attacker and give them foe:undead = Attack gambit that overrides everything and have another guy with a gun constantly shoot at Adrammelech (foe:aerial = Attack) and one healer. I think using gambits greatly improves the game, but then, I play in Active and not in Wait mode. Oh and you can disable the zombies too. I've also gone with foe:undead = Disable, foe:disabled = Attack, so the guy will cast Disable to any undeads and then when all are disabled will attack them. Nice huh. ;)Keltainentoukokuu

Yeah many things are actually useful if you know what to do with them. Like that Stamp technick sounds pointless, but you can actually use it to stamp positive statuses --> buff one person and stamp the others. Or it's another way to guaranteed inflict something on an enemy. If you go flying on those skyferries you may be able to buy Syphon from some of them. That's a fine way to get MP in lategame. Common strategy is to syphon from allies, because if you have any character dedicated as purely a physical attacker, they rake loads of MP with that license that recovers MP whenever you hit something, but then never really get to use it. Use mage to syphon it off them. This works better than Charge. Or you can syphon from guest characters or from Esper allies as well (Espers can use magick without MP so it doesn't matter). Also, these stat lowering technicks really work. They work even against the biggest bosses most of the time.

Way to go with Orthros! Marilith has ignore evasion so you can't evade with a shield, but it does miss quite a lot if it has blind. It's really fast when it has little HP but should always attack the nearest character. Bring Phoenix Downs for instant reviving.

There's a pretty neat trick: If you cast both Reverse and Stop on a target Reverse will not run out. This way you can make an invulnerable bait to enemies that attack the nearest opponent. It works against the superboss Omega.Keltainentoukokuu 03:03, December 1, 2011 (UTC)

Story's gonna be super easy for you now, all the bosses total pushovers. Easy breezing. ;)Keltainentoukokuu 03:54, December 1, 2011 (UTC)

If you mean from the clan shop, then I think Bubble Belt will appear back in the clan shop after you gain another clan rank. I think that may be a bug in the game, it always happens like that but I can't fathom why would the game designers mean to do it like that on purpose. You can also make a Bubble Belt in the bazaar.

You should go back to Antlion's nest to get Fomalhaut from the back of that cave. It appears in a random treasure. It is annoying and may take a half an hour of running back and forth, but it is the first ultimate weapon you can get, and really the easiest ultimate weapon you can find. It'll do around 3000-4000 a hit. It will be outclassed by other weapons late game (namely, guns don't do combo hits), but is just a very solid weapon for a long while.

Also, if you have already tried Roblon, you will have been to Nabreus Deadlands. That screen above the Gate Crystal has horses that sometimes drop the Defender sword, which is probably the best greatsword you can get right now. It's a rare drop but I always go there to collect Wargod's Bands for crafting Tournesol and always end up with one or two Defenders at the end of the day.

And the undead around Roblon will stop spawning if you're patient enough. ;) The game can have up to 7 enemies on screen at once and there are around 40 undeads that spawn on that hill. So if you go up there to fight Roblon while the undeads are still spawning they will keep spawning more and more, whenever you kill one another one will come. But if you first kill all the undeads then they will stop coming.

You could also do Zeromus right now.Keltainentoukokuu 17:19, December 3, 2011 (UTC)

Man your damage-output is terrible. No wonder you Quickening-chain everything! However do you manage. ;) You could severely up your damage output if you cast Berserk and Bravery on an ally, probably do close to double normal damage per hit. Heavy Armor also boosts strength. Daggers are nice because they are fast. Guns and bows are pretty slow and they don't combo, so there is one reason why they are outclassed at endgame. You have to walk two areas away and come back to respawn treasure chests. The Fomalhaut chest spawns at the back of the room where Antlion was. It's not always a Fomalhaut and the treasure doesn't always spawn, so it's just a matter of going back and forth back and forth back and forth...till you get lucky. You can also save at the crystal, and reset if you don't get it. Starting from a save always resets all treasures. Ultimate weapons are always somewhere far away on the edges of the license board, so you gotta see who is closest who might be able to get the license for it.Keltainentoukokuu 21:11, December 3, 2011 (UTC)

I love FFXII. Let us all cross fingers and hope for HD remake of the Zodiac Job version. I guess it would not be too difficult to play the English hack...just sounds like effort! I wonder if my shittyass laptop would even burn a decent copy anyway.

I think Yiazmat is awesome, but also realise I just may be alone with this opinion. The first time I went in with a proper overcautious method of first power-levelling to 99 and then using Reverse, but really that is an overkill, you don't need to do that at all. Repeat battles with some smarter strategy have been better! Because Yiazmat caps your damage comboing is more relevant than attack power. The "ultimania" strategy on Yiazmat (Final Fantasy XII) page sounds interesting, maybe I'll try it one day.

I like it that it isn't about saving the world, but a bit more close to earth. The problems with the story are that you have a lot of cut scenes that happen somewhere far away in the capital of political drama with characters you don't remember who they are. I think...basically if they'd just kept the base story exactly the same, just added more involvement/cut scenes/something/tied it all together better, it would be amazing. Like many feel Vaan and Penelo are just a waste of space, whereas I think they would potentially have a great role as the actual citizens of Dalmasca, the people who are actually affected by the war and who would be the most affected by the war they are trying to prevent. They could have used them as something to tie Ashe to her kingdom, but basically in the game Ashe doesn't really seem to have any real contact with the everyman person of her kingdom. She speaks great about oh no the kingdom the kingdom, but then the connection is never really given. Vaan and Penelo could have had great potential for proper cornerstone characters here! It's not all about the struggle of the kings and queens, isn't that specifically the point they are trying to make that the Occuria and then Vayne just toy with the "normal person" and don't really care about the people they are supposedly protecting, but I'm not sure does Ashe really either.

Crisis Core next eh? It's kind of good on other respects but just a total failure in a few areas... FFVII gave us such a nice world, like even if you have only limited access they make Midgar feel alive and huge. In Crisis Core you go to the "busiest area of Midgar" and there are two people standing around and a car... ... ...and there are doors to like clubs or restaurants but they are just "painted wall" and you can't go in. What a total failure at world design. Also...at which point did Aeris's little ramshackle church turn into a gigantic cathedral......Keltainentoukokuu 05:30, December 19, 2011 (UTC)

My first Yiazmat battle took 4 hours with my overkill level 99 party using Reverse like a loser. ;) Consecutive battles have been around 6 hours at level 70-75. :D Went out once to buy more Chronos Tears and then came back. Die Yiazmat die! It was great! The Ultimania strategy says you could do it in 50 minutes. Intriguing...

Good luck with Crisis Core! It has a beach scene with bikinis and all. ;) And some pretty lame poetry all around.Keltainentoukokuu 17:23, December 19, 2011 (UTC)

Final Fantasy IX Minor Characters[]

I was wondering if you could help me identify concept art for characters on this page. I've got an FF9 mook from Japan with superior quality images in it as compared to "The Art of FFIX" book, and I need help identifying them and concerning where, when identified, the images should be placed on this wiki. Bluerfn said you might be willing to help me out. You seem to have done a substanstial amount of work on the aformentioned page, and I was wondering where you got the information. Please contact me, thanks. â–« Sir ISStalk 06:08, December 3, 2011 (UTC)

FFIV:TAY Enemies Template[]

I have a problem regarding the FFIV:TAY Enemies Template. I'm currently adding the bestiary number for the monsters and it suddenly occurred to me that there are monsters with 2 or more Bestiary entries (example from this page: Titan1 and Titan2). Can you help me with the template so we could put extra bestiary number, previous monster number, and next monster number? I dont know much about template coding SΓΣamyGoreng 06:00, December 15, 2011 (UTC)

Nope. What i meant was I want to put both:
|bestiary = whatever the first bestiary number is
and
|bestiary = bestiary number 2
which will result to something like this:
Bestiary.png
^^^ THIS IS JUST AN EXAMPLE ^^^
SΓΣamyGoreng 10:21, December 15, 2011 (UTC)

I forgot to tell you that I found the FFIV:TAY multi Enemies template. Thanks anyway.SΓΣamyGoreng 05:33, December 19, 2011 (UTC)

XIV Images[]

Sure can get spell images, I will try to take some pictures during the weekend. If there's need for any other images of the game, I can probably get them since I play it quite often.

DiamondEdge 04:30, December 23, 2011 (UTC)

Well, my XIV folder has 200 something images, most just scenery, but there's probably a few that can be used in there. I also already got a few spell screenshots from today's moogle party, but it can be surprinsgly hard to get a good spell picture. Anyways, I will be uploading images whenever I can get 'em. FF8 Icons[]

Gonna be standardizing them, pick a color. Doreiku Kuroofangu 17:13, December 24, 2011 (UTC)

MQ Icons[]

I need your help figuring out what is what. I know the top row is Earth, Water, Fire and Wind, and am fairly certain the third and fourth rows are Death, Petrify, Paralyze, Sleep, Confuse, Poison, Blind and Silence. However I'm drawing a blank on the second row. The only attack classifications left are Axe, Bomb, Shoot and Thunder, but I'm not even sure Thunder has an icon. Axe meanwhile, well none of the icons appear to be that. Bomb is the second one, but Shoot, it could be the first icon if that's supposed to be a Shuriken, or it could be the Bow, since both Arrows and Shurikens are Shoot types. And the sword, I plain have no idea. I may also be forgetting a type or two.

So yeah, help a guy out so I can get these uploaded? Doreiku Kuroofangu 07:12, December 25, 2011 (UTC)

So nothing? Doreiku Kuroofangu 07:54, January 3, 2012 (UTC)
I'll drop Fenrir a line, he may know. Doreiku Kuroofangu 08:02, January 3, 2012 (UTC)
Earth, Water, Fire, Wind (also share the thunder resistance - atmosphere, get it - posted this bit of info on the armor talk page of the MQ armor page), Drain (Ether Shield resist this attack), Unknown (It reverse Drain effect, heals you instead of enemy while enemy takes damage - Zombie? or Undead? - Not sure if its call this, you can heal yourself with the Cure spell and don't take damage like you should - I call it "Reverse Drain" - besides, only 3 attacks have the Drain elemental), Damage (Sword icon - Physical attacks), Shoot (Bow icon - Projectiles). Fatal (called this in-game instead of Death), Petrify, Paralyze, Sleep, Confusion, Poison, Blind and Silence. There is no icons for Axe, Bomb, or Zombie attacks (Attack with Cure spell) - Monster only. Fenrir9 18:09, January 3, 2012 (UTC)

RE: EM Free Game Capture[]

I spent a lot of time looking around last year, and EM was the best I could find that doesn't desync the sound, or, worse still, get rid of the sound altogether. I dunno if times have changed, but EM was the best software there was at that point. I never bothered to pay for it, but then again my computer's old enough to make it so I can't go far past 15FPS without bugging up anyways. Sorry. C A T U S E01:42, December 28, 2011 (UTC)

Image quality[]

If you're looking at the Sand Worm screen from PSX, that's been stretched. Badly. They messed up the aspect ratio something awful and there's really no good way to repair it without further loss of quality. If it were properly sized, you'd see something in 4:3 aspect ratio, like 640x480. Bluestarultor BSA 03:00, January 2, 2012 (UTC)

Actually, the PSX version uses the same graphics as the SNES, since both were dealing with the same display. The GBA, however, has a complete, if subtle, overhaul of all graphics to correct them for a square-pixel display and different color calculations. Bluestarultor BSA 03:22, January 2, 2012 (UTC)

FF9 Icons[]

Mr. Xeno sir, I'm on the hunt for FF9 menu icons! Found a few but noticed that many of the menu icons for equipment pieces use subtly different colorations, so there's a lot to upload and of course it looks like some use the same icon so there's cross-referencing to check that and such. Point is, you wanna do it or let me? In the meantime I'm gonna keep huntign for more icons. Doreiku Kuroofangu 08:16, February 11, 2012 (UTC)

Hm, disappointing. I was hoping for some sort of confirmation the Empire was trying to drill into Figaro with it. Thanks. Doreiku Kuroofangu 21:31, May 27, 2012 (UTC)

FF6 Equipment[]

Dunno what access you have to GBA hacking, but I noticed it has equipment descriptions. I'd like to add them to the pages, if you can gather them up. Doreiku Kuroofangu 03:22, May 30, 2012 (UTC)

Does it?? What kind of equipment descriptions are we talking about? Like actual descriptions of the weapons or...? Xenomic 03:38, May 30, 2012 (UTC)
Main Gauche - "Short dagger that sometimes parries enemy attacks."
Metal Knuckles - "Iron knucles that put extra weight behind a punch."
Plumed Hat - "Silk hat adorned with a flashy chocobo plume."
And so forth. Sometimes they get more colorful - noticed on my deeper file the Murakumo was a "fabled Doman sword lost since ancient times" or something to that effect. Doreiku Kuroofangu 03:46, May 30, 2012 (UTC)
Well, I'll get to that whenever I get to it I suppose. Do you still need those cave images/Hidon images as well? I'm assuming no on the caves since up there but...never know. Xenomic 06:41, May 30, 2012 (UTC)
I'd like them still, yes, that SNES image is of shitty quality. And no hurry, it isn't urgent. I'm gonna just play through my game normally and add the descriptions of abilities like the Blitzes and Bushido, etc, as I come to them. Doreiku Kuroofangu 06:48, May 30, 2012 (UTC)
Well, since I'm not doing anything right now, guess I can get to the weapons then. Dunno if the SNES version has any descriptions like that or not...might be something to look into later too. Xenomic 07:12, May 30, 2012 (UTC)

Final Fantasy Dimensions[]

To be very honest, I think you should hold your horses with renaming pages due to the release of Final Fantasy Dimensions, since all text we have from that game are fan translations. The final product might not diverge much from what we already have, but it might diverge, and in some cases there may be no need for changes. - Henryacores^ 12:57, May 31, 2012 (UTC)

There is no issue with being pre-emptive like that, it's more sensible to wait before assuming we'll have pages with those names: for example, what happened with Adel when TA2 was released.
Note that it's completely legit to use disambigs for articles with extremely similar names, i.e. Pandaemonium. In the end, we might have to apply every change you suggest and more. - Henryacores^ 21:21, May 31, 2012 (UTC)

Espers[]

I'm off work until Thursday, so I'm gonna finally get around to transforming that page into a standard table. Got descriptions ready? Doreiku Kuroofangu 22:04, June 4, 2012 (UTC)

I can go get them later tonight or here in a few. I'll have to grab them and put them in my Photobucket, so that'll be sometime today/tonight. Currently working on my game atm since I didn't get to touch it at all yesterday, so want to get as much done on that before 11 PM tonight (EST if you're curious). I tend to watch a stream from about 11 PM till 1-2 AM (if it's interesting to me, which it is at the current time), so it'll be late tonight. If you want to put the descriptions of the other games into anything, you can do so since they're in the document. Xenomic 22:12, June 4, 2012 (UTC)
That's fine, I wanna stick to FF6 for the time being, work gives me little spare time anymore, this weekend for example will be work on VA pages. Doreiku Kuroofangu 22:32, June 4, 2012 (UTC)

VII Chocobos[]

Well, managed to get a Gold Chocobo with your advice. Thank you very much Xen. I managed to beat the game with a certain Knights of the Round that I'd gotten. ^^ Tidus357 23:14, June 6, 2012 (UTC)

FF6 Painting[]

Think you would be able to snag me a quote of the description of Ultros's painting in the gallery, and the painting of the lady that opens up the basement? Doreiku Kuroofangu 22:48, June 9, 2012 (UTC)

BTW, curious thing - Terra sprite sheet, in the lower-right above the four flying sprites, Esper Terra is facing forward, floating above the ground with a shadow under her. In the normal Terra sprite sheet above, there's another sprite in its place. Now what's really curious is that I recognize the normal Terra sprite, but I can't remember where in the game it appears, and all the other characters who have the same layout have that 'slot' in their sheet blank. So, just curious, where do these two sprites get used, if at all? The simple sight of a sprite of Esper Terra floating is very interesting. Doreiku Kuroofangu 05:27, June 10, 2012 (UTC)

FF6 Stats[]

Something I'd like you to investigate, if you could, which abilities (and possibly, which specific skills, like different Tools and Bushido) are and are not affected by the character's Strength/Magic. I ask because Edgar deals the same amount of damage with the Auto-Crossbow while wearing a Hyper Wrist as while not, so if there are skills that ignore the user's stats, it's something we ought to note. Doreiku Kuroofangu 19:11, June 14, 2012 (UTC)

Didn't help at all, doesn't say. Doreiku Kuroofangu 21:07, June 14, 2012 (UTC)

Question[]

Hi there. You seem to be a veteran editor and you were the most recent user in the activity feed, so I got a question I'm hoping you can answer.
As far as I know, we can only upload official Final Fantasy images, right? (If not then I'll feel rather embarrassed asking you)
I was going to upload a few Final Fantasy related images that I created for another user to add to their Arena, specifically this, this, this, this... well, you get the idea. I'll spare you the details, but there are roughly seven images I was looking to upload. My question is, if I added the [[Category:User page images]] or [[Category:Fanart]] categories to them, would it save them from being deleted? Or is there an easier method? Anyway, if you could let me know it would be very much appreciated. 07:56, June 20, 2012 (UTC)

Ah, thanks amigo. Well, I s'pose I'll try uploading them here, and come tomorrow if they've been deleted then I'll try photobucket. Thanks for the help! 08:04, June 20, 2012 (UTC)
