My notification is only shown when the app is opened, despite the correct notification setting enabled. For example, Telegram, the notification will not show if the app is not opened; however, the moment the app is opened, those notifications come flooding. I allow notifications from iPhone and those show up normally on both my iPhone and MacBook; it's only Mac apps that seem to have a problem with it. I am using the MacBook Air M2 2022 and on macOS 15.7.3, but this problem has existed as long as I can remember.

Notifications on iOS are pushed from an Apple service, they are not provided by the app directly.
On macOS, the application has to be running to receive notifications.
