I am using Ubuntu 22.04 kernel 5.15.0-160. It failed to boot after installing the TBS5927 linux driver patch, but the old kernel 5.15.0-157 still works.

I followed instructions on their site, but it seems something is wrong. They didn't provide instructions on how to uninstall, and for now I manually boot the old kernel from GRUB every time, but I want to restore the system to the previous state or better to fix the error and use TBS5927.

Last line before the kernel stopped is

  • That might be this bug (Black screen when booting 5.15.0-160 (on AMD Lucienne / Cezanne / Navi / Renoir / Rembrandt). Commented Oct 25, 2025 at 13:58
