Ubuntu 26.04 LTS (a.k.a. Resolute Raccoon) is now released. As of April 23, 2026 at 17:37 UTC, posts about it are no longer off-topic on Ask Ubuntu. As usual, posts still need to meet the other requirements to be on-topic.

Additionally, please refrain from re-opening questions about Ubuntu 26.04 that were posted prior to its release without Meta consensus. They can be re-opened, but it needs to be agreed upon via a Meta discussion first.

Note that

Users of Ubuntu 25.10 will be offered an automatic upgrade to 26.04.

Users of 24.04 LTS will be offered the automatic upgrade when 26.04.1 LTS is released, which is scheduled for the 4th of August.
