I just now received a Magene P505 power meter. (Ordered on AliExpress since I couldn't find an official distributor that would ship to me) Upon setting it up in the app I was disappointed to find that the advertised left-right balance and pedaling smoothness features require an additional $40 payment apiece. I can't find any indication on their website that this would be the case and I find this entirely unacceptable. The strange thing is that I can't even find any review online that would mention this. Can anyone please confirm that their unit also required additional payment for these features?

It turns out that there is a Chinese version that has paywalled features and an international one that has all the features already unlocked. Mine was unlocked for free after a chat with the seller.
