Maria Curtis liked thisMaria Curtis liked thisAs a recruiter, I can usually tell when someone is reading answers generated by AI during a screening call. The delayed response. The eyes constantly darting to a second monitor. The perfectly polished answer that somehow doesn't sound connected to their actual experience. The reality is that good recruiters aren't just listening to what you say. We're paying attention to HOW you say it. We're looking for authenticity, self-awareness, and your ability to speak about your own experiences. If you're relying on an AI agent to feed you answers during an interview, you're missing the point. That doesn't mean AI doesn't belong in your job search! In fact, AI can be one of the most powerful interview prep tools available today when used before the conversation. Here are a few smarter ways to use AI: ✅ Analyze the job posting: Ask AI to identify the top 5 competencies, skills, and likely interview themes. ✅ Generate practice questions: Have AI create recruiter screen questions, hiring manager questions, and behavioural interview questions based on the role. The practice using your own / lived experiences. ✅ Refine your STAR stories: Use AI to help structure your examples, highlight impact, and identify gaps in your responses. ✅ Research the company: Ask AI to summarize the company's products, customers, competitors, recent news, and key industry trends. ✅ Identify your blind spots: Upload your resume and the job description and ask AI, "What areas might a recruiter probe deeper on?" Remember: AI should enhance your preparation, not replace your voice. The strongest candidates aren't the ones with the most polished scripted answers. They're the ones who can confidently tell their own story. #Recruiting #JobSearch #InterviewTips #CareerAdvice #ArtificialIntelligence #Hiring #TalentAcquisition #CareerGrowth #JobSeekers #InterviewPreparation

Maria Curtis liked thisHelping organizations develop their people carries a responsibility to create that same kind of environment for our own. I’m proud to see Absorb recognized as a 2026 Tech Cares Award winner by TrustRadius. A company’s values earn their meaning through the way employees experience them, and this award reflects the care and respect Absorbers bring to their work every day. Maria Curtis reacted on thisMaria Curtis reacted on thisI might be a little 🤏🏻 late sharing this one, but better late than never! I'm incredibly grateful to have been selected as one of Absorb Software Q2 2026 Absorber Spotlights. A heartfelt thank you to my leader, Kerry Heilskov, for selecting me for this recognition, and to all the wonderful colleagues, mentors, friends, and role models who have all supported me along the way. I feel very lucky to be surrounded by people who inspire me, continue to encourage me to step outside my comfort zone, and pushing me to grow 🌱 I'm also grateful to be part of a company and culture that takes the time to recognize its people and share their stories. Reading about the paths that brought others to Absorb is such a meaningful reminder that everyone's journey is unique and that there's always SO much more to a person than the role or team we know them through. This recognition gave me a chance to reflect on my own journey so far, the people who've helped carry me through it, and how much I've grown both professionally and personally. I'm very thankful for this moment and excited for all the learning and growth that's still ahead 🛣️ #LearningandDevelopment #AbsorbSoftware #LearningCulture #LearningManagementSystems #LMS #WorkplaceCulture #EmployeeDevelopment #EmployeeSpotlight #CareerGrowth #ProfessionalDevelopment #EmployeeRecognition

Maria Curtis liked thisWellbeing belongs in the work-design conversation. When a process becomes faster, leaders should ask whether employees are actually getting capacity back or simply being expected to do more. Aon reports that 84% of employers are confident their wellbeing strategy is meeting workforce needs, while 72% of employees still report high stress at work. That’s useful information to have as companies redesign how work gets done. New tools may make a process faster, but if expectations simply expand to fill the time saved, employees can end up under even more pressure. HR needs to look at the full effect of a workflow change: what became easier, what became faster and what new demands were created around it. #EmployeeWellbeing #FutureOfWork Source: https://lnkd.in/gy3SZkAE
