Maria Curtis liked thisMaria Curtis liked thisAs a recruiter, I can usually tell when someone is reading answers generated by AI during a screening call. The delayed response. The eyes constantly darting to a second monitor. The perfectly polished answer that somehow doesn't sound connected to their actual experience. The reality is that good recruiters aren't just listening to what you say. We're paying attention to HOW you say it. We're looking for authenticity, self-awareness, and your ability to speak about your own experiences. If you're relying on an AI agent to feed you answers during an interview, you're missing the point. That doesn't mean AI doesn't belong in your job search! In fact, AI can be one of the most powerful interview prep tools available today when used before the conversation. Here are a few smarter ways to use AI: ✅ Analyze the job posting: Ask AI to identify the top 5 competencies, skills, and likely interview themes. ✅ Generate practice questions: Have AI create recruiter screen questions, hiring manager questions, and behavioural interview questions based on the role. The practice using your own / lived experiences. ✅ Refine your STAR stories: Use AI to help structure your examples, highlight impact, and identify gaps in your responses. ✅ Research the company: Ask AI to summarize the company's products, customers, competitors, recent news, and key industry trends. ✅ Identify your blind spots: Upload your resume and the job description and ask AI, "What areas might a recruiter probe deeper on?" Remember: AI should enhance your preparation, not replace your voice. The strongest candidates aren't the ones with the most polished scripted answers. They're the ones who can confidently tell their own story. #Recruiting #JobSearch #InterviewTips #CareerAdvice #ArtificialIntelligence #Hiring #TalentAcquisition #CareerGrowth #JobSeekers #InterviewPreparation

Maria Curtis liked thisWellbeing belongs in the work-design conversation. When a process becomes faster, leaders should ask whether employees are actually getting capacity back or simply being expected to do more. Aon reports that 84% of employers are confident their wellbeing strategy is meeting workforce needs, while 72% of employees still report high stress at work. That’s useful information to have as companies redesign how work gets done. New tools may make a process faster, but if expectations simply expand to fill the time saved, employees can end up under even more pressure. HR needs to look at the full effect of a workflow change: what became easier, what became faster and what new demands were created around it. #EmployeeWellbeing #FutureOfWork Source: https://lnkd.in/gy3SZkAE

Payroll touches real lives. We talk a lot about payroll accuracy, automation, integrations and compliance. But behind every calculation is something much more important. A mortgage payment. Groceries for a family. Childcare. Savings. A vacation someone has been planning. A future someone is building. That's why payroll shouldn't be treated as just another administrative process. When payroll is complicated, fragmented or heavily dependent on manual intervention, the impact isn't limited to the payroll team. Eventually, an employee feels it. The best payroll transformations don't simply process payroll faster. They create an environment where: → Data can be trusted → Time flows correctly into pay → Rules work as intended → Exceptions are identified earlier → Payroll teams spend less time firefighting → Employees can trust their pay Technology enables it. But people are the reason it matters. People. Process. Performance. #Payroll #Dayforce #HCM #WorkforceManagement #PayrollTransformation #EmployeeExperience #Clavion

Is your HRIS ready to support real business growth? Human resources information is no longer just paperwork or record-keeping. Today, it serves as the backbone of your entire business. If your HR data still lives in spreadsheets and email threads, you're taking on unnecessary risk. Centralizing HR information is critical. It simplifies compliance with laws like the Fair Labor Standards Act and I-9 verification, reducing your risk of costly fines and legal disputes. More importantly, it enables growth by allowing you to onboard employees smoothly without scrambling to keep up. A well-chosen HRIS also helps manage risk and maintain workforce stability by giving you a clear, real-time picture of your people. Early warning signs of issues become visible before they escalate, keeping your workplace productive and stable. Choosing the right system starts with understanding your specific business needs. Look for integrated payroll, benefits administration, and performance management, combined with strong workforce analytics. Your HRIS should connect smoothly with existing tools and safeguard sensitive information with solid encryption and role-based access. Putting it into action matters, too. Align your HR processes before adopting new software, and invest in communication and training to help your team accept the change. Remember, compliance and security are ongoing commitments requiring regular audits and updates. Structured HR information is more than data—it's your operational infrastructure. When your HRIS works for you, your entire business runs better. What's your plan to upgrade your HRIS and secure your business's future?

That $8/employee HRIS looks affordable. Until you realize what's not included: → Implementation support (that's extra) → Integrations with your payroll (that's extra) → Custom reports (good luck) → Actual human support when something breaks (email queue, 48 hours) And the real cost? It shifts all the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting to you. So now your ops person is spending 5 hours a week babysitting a system that was supposed to save time. The price per seat is just the beginning. The real question is: what does it actually take to run this thing? Before buying, I would gut-check: 1. Who's owning setup and ongoing maintenance? 2. What happens when something breaks? 3. Does it integrate with what you already use, or is that another project? Cheap tools are not really cheap when they keep draining your team's time. #HRTech #HRMPowered #HRIS #PeopleOps

According to new research from Vancouver-based employee recognition platform Bucketlist, five major themes are transforming the modern workplace: Flexibility is foundational: Remote and hybrid work continue to drive retention, productivity, and talent attraction — yet many companies still lag behind in offering it. Recognition matters more than ever: Employees who feel recognized are 73% less likely to experience burnout. Recognition is no longer optional — it’s essential. Growth is mutual: Career development through upskilling, reskilling, and internal mobility is becoming a key factor in employee satisfaction and loyalty. Well-being is a business priority: Burnout and stress remain high, especially among younger and frontline workers. Investing in well-being is critical. These insights reflect a shift in employee expectations and underscore the importance of people-first strategies. https://lnkd.in/gKSWaPmY

72 Steps and 12 Templates for an HR Strategy in 2026 We know that right now many of you are already writing / building / finalizing your HR strategy for this year! Some are already on the last version, while others are just starting to pull all the thoughts together. We’ve noticed the same pattern over and over: there’s a lot of experience, there’s a rough sense of the steps, but everything is still living in someone’s head or spread across ten different files. At Skailer we decided to turn the whole process into one clear, repeatable structure: from collecting goals from the CEO all the way to the final presentation deck + complete with roadmap and ROI calculation. Hopefully this will help you structure the information a bit better 😊 💡 What’s inside? - 72 concrete steps with corresponding deliverables - 12 templates: Goals One-pager, Overlay Canvas, Current strategy diagnostic + OKR overlay, Headcount, Functional Packages, Budget (3 scenarios + cash flow), Roadmap + Risk Register, Presentation for CEO - Logic connecting the blocks: mini “goals → roles” matrix and initiative dependency map Why do you need this? → HRD / Head of HR — to build the strategy step by step and not forget anything → CEO / Exec Team — to see clear logic, ROI and risks instead of a bunch of disconnected plans → Teams — to work within an understandable system instead of “by gut feeling” Want the framework + templates? The truth: Your HRIS probably isn’t broken, but your processes may be. Organizations spend thousands on HR tech, but their systems still spit out messy data, inconsistent reports, and payroll errors. Here’s the real issue: If your people processes aren’t clear and consistent, your HRIS will always expose that. Common signs? -Duplicate or conflicting reports -Too many fields no one actually uses -Payroll configurations that never seem right -Unclear ownership, approvals, or workflows This can look like: Before: A 7-step approval chain, inconsistent titles, duplicate position records, and weekly payroll corrections. After: A clean 3-step workflow, accurate job data, and zero payroll errors. Because here’s the truth: Technology magnifies whatever you put into it - clarity or chaos. That’s where our team at My HR Lifeline comes in. We help organizations: -Spot hidden process gaps -Clean up what’s already causing friction -Rebuild workflows with clarity and ownership -Optimize (or re-implement) your HRIS so it finally works as intended If your HRIS feels more complicated than it should… it’s not just you. It’s fixable. And we’d love to share how. Use this checklist to help you assess and share with your peers so you can get the most out of your HRIS. What’s the biggest HRIS headache you’ve seen? (We’ve probably seen it and solved it, too!) www.myhrlifeline.com #HRTechnology #HRIS #HRLeadership #PeopleOperations #Paycom #SystemImplementation #ProcessOptimization
