The same people who said they wanted to be healthier and more active, were eating more fast food, and exercising less than ever before. Active Nation day sought to bring about a fitting change in the nation by inspiring the nation to take action, culminating on Active Nation Day, a day to remind Australians the importance of living an active life. A mobile app was created to encourage the nation to track their movements, with the nation's total movements being tracked on www.nowmoveit.com. To date, over 1,000,000 KMs have been logged, with the application achieving a number 4 rank in the Australian appstore with hundreds of thousands of Australian's taking action by downloading the app and moving for the movement.
