I’m Alexis Rochester, a trained chemist with a B.S. in Professional Chemistry (Magna Cum Laude) and a minor in Mathematics from Tarleton State University. I founded Chemistry Cachet in 2015 to help people understand the science behind cleaning, skincare, and everyday household products without the hype or fear commonly seen online.For more than 11 years, Chemistry Cachet has been a trusted online resource for evidence-based cleaning methods, ingredient education, and practical chemistry solutions.

My work has helped hundreds of thousands of readers clean more effectively, make safer choices, and better understand how products actually work.

Professional Background & Experience

My academic training included hands-on research, applied chemistry coursework, and scientific writing. After graduation, I worked in education, tutoring, and academic writing before launching Chemistry Cachet.

Personal Life

My husband and I have been married since 2007. We started our life together while he was serving in the United States Marine Corps and stationed in Southern California, and today he proudly serves our community as a first responder. We now live in Texas, just south of Fort Worth, with our two sweet kids—Amelia (7) and Tucker (3).

At age 10, I was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis, and that journey has shaped so much of who I am. I’m passionate about sharing encouragement, practical pain management tips, and real-life support for others navigating autoimmune challenges. I’m also a regular contributor to Bezzy RA, where I connect with others in the RA community.

When I’m not formulating, researching, or writing, you’ll find me soaking up time with my family, heading to a Pilates class, or outside enjoying God’s beautiful creations in nature. I’m a believer in Jesus and deeply grateful for His grace and salvation in my life!
