2021 vintage. Decent Sangiovese blend, needed a little time to open up, but didn’t disappoint. Blackberry and spice on the palate, strong tannins with an oaky finish. A little tart initially but it evened out and went well with a plate of bolognese. — 8 days ago

2022 vintage. Medium-bodied, smooth Chilean Cab. Decent nose on the opening; vanilla, spice, and blackberry. Pretty light on the palate, cherry and blackberry, very soft tannins with a touch of chewiness. For the price, this was a decent Cab, but it might need to age a bit more. — 22 days ago

2024 vintage. Light rustic red in color, thin on the edges. Light floral aroma, with cherry and berry flavors and a hint of jam on the palate. Light to medium bodied, soft tannins with a smooth finish. Continues to open up after the first hour or two, has the right amount of spice, pretty decent Verona red blend for the price. — a month ago

2021 vintage. Subtle aromas of cherry, vanilla, spice, and a hint of smoke; definitely has that faint Burgundy Pinot earthy tail to it. Very smooth and soft tannins with a fruit-forward initial taste on the palate (black cherry). Excellent Sonoma Pinot. Not bad for $38. — 11 days ago

Cracked open The Veuve again. Perfect acidity, complex nose of citrus (lemon, apricot, apple, and pear), good balance of yeast, a hint of brioche and pear on the palate. Solid go-to for the price. Happy Saturday! — a month ago

2024 vintage. Citrus, floral notes, and a toasted mineral aroma on the initial opening. Apple, pear, and a hint of peach on the palate, with a thorough clean citrus finish. More pale lemon in color vs the golden Napa Chardonnay look. Excellent Chardonnay. — 20 days ago

2023 vintage. Soft and smooth tannins on the initial opening, tobacco, leather, and licorice on the nose, with blackberry and cherry on the palate. Definitely not chewy, this has a unique smooth taste with a decent finish. Paired exceptionally well with NC BBQ chicken breast and sweet potato. Would definitely enjoy again. — 25 days ago

8.7

2023 vintage. Strong floral aromas on the initial opening with hints of spice and earthy tones. Heavy cherry and fruit on the palate with some acidity, definitely give this an hour or two to open up/expand. Not like a traditional Willamette Valley Pinot, a little more fruit forward, but not bad for the price. — a month ago
