I have a Frigidaire FFSS2615TS0 refrigerator, which is chilling and freezing well.

We recently observed a leak in the icemaker water inlet. See the yellow circle in the picture.

The leak has gotten worse since I tried to pull the tube.

wall inlet leak picture.

I have turned off the inlet. See the value behind the tube in the picture. The refrigerator works except it does not dispense water or ice.

How should I fix this leak?

What tools may I need?

I could only find videos referring to leaks on the refrigerator.

Unfortunately this a job on your knees.

First try to slightly (1/8 turn) tighten the nut. It might work or it might not.

If it still leaks go to next step. Close the valve and disconnect the tube. Now you can inspect if it is the valve or tube connection leaking. Pending on the outcome of the inspection, it will be a bigger job. With tube out, cut off the part with the compression ring (or rubber ring) on it. Insert new ring and tighten it. From the picture it looks like PVC pipe compression connection since your pipe is PVC type.

It would look like this and it has two parts. The insert and compression ring

The first thing I'd try is tightening the brass nut you have circled. Turn it clockwise with an adjustable wrench. This might stop the leak. If not, remove the nut and pull the tube out. Examine the tube and the compression fitting that is on the tube. I normally cut a little of the tube off with the compression fitting and buy a new compression fitting at the home store but you can use the old one if it looks OK. Re install the fittings and tighten everything up. It's always a good practice to take a few pictures along the way just in case.

  • @DelphicOracle I would debate that the circled item is a screw. That whole piece unscrews and has external threads on it which is why I said it was a screw. It is not like the picture in the other answer. Commented 5 hours ago
