DBS Al Wakra was delighted to welcome the University of St Andrews to speak with our Year 12 and Year 13 students about university life, future opportunities and the journey into higher education. The visit was particularly inspiring as St Andrews has recently been named the UK’s best university in The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2027, securing the top position for the third time in six years. Students had the opportunity to hear directly from the university, ask questions and discover what studying at one of the UK’s leading institutions could look like.
Experiences like this encourage our students to think big, explore beyond what they already know and recognise the opportunities available to them around the world. Meeting universities directly helps turn future ambitions into real possibilities and gives students the confidence to ask, “Why not me?” At DBS Al Wakra, our Careers Programme will continue to connect students with universities, employers and inspiring opportunities that broaden horizons and help every young person take their next step with confidence.

Thank you to our teachers for making a lasting difference every day.

Our Preschool learners explored the roles of Grandma and Grandpa through imaginative play, developing empathy, respect and an appreciation for the people who make up our community. By seeing the world from another perspective, they strengthened their communication, social and emotional skills, while building confidence in expressing themselves and understanding others.
Because learning to respect every generation helps children grow into thoughtful, caring members of their community.
