Celeste Rivas Parents Push For Death Penalty If D4vd Found Guilty

The parents of Celeste Rivas Hernandez have urged Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman to seek the death penalty against D4vd if he’s convicted. The family made the request in a rare public statement following criminal proceedings against the singer, who has pleaded not guilty. “If the death penalty were activated, it would be perfect for this kind of human being, devoid of feelings and emptiness inside,” they said in a statement to the California Post. The family added that D4vd has “caused pain to our daughter, our family, and the world that supports our precious daughter.” Hochman has delayed his decision on whether to seek the death penalty while awaiting a mitigation packet from D4vd’s new public defender. D4vd, whose legal name is David Burke, recently dismissed his legal team to be represented by a public defender. At his rearraignment, Burke pleaded not guilty to charges of sexually abusing Celeste, killing her, dismembering her, and concealing her remains.
