Eamon Leonard shared thisWe saved this one for last. Every founder knows what it feels like to receive their first customer, investor, or partner "yes". At the earliest stage it's not just a "yes" in what you're building, it's a "yes" in you. Who you are, as a founder, and what they see and believe in you and your ability to make things happen. Things that are aligned with their own values and goals. You never forget the people who took an early chance on you, before there was anything real, or proven. That is what the team at Browne Jacobson mean to us. In early 2025 Fiona and I told them that we wanted to get 60 founders together in some cabins by a lake in the middle of Co. Cavan, Ireland. We chatted at length with William Darmody and Ciaran Markey about what it would look like, why we wanted to do it, and why we wanted them to partner. We shared a few pages of detail, with some photographs we'd taken on a site visit, and within a few days they said yes. This was happening. Whatever "this" was. We spoke to others at the time, but for various reasons Browne Jacobson were the only partners who came on board for that first Rebase. This upcoming Rebase will be our biggest yet, 300 guests in Dublin, 85 in Cavan, and 20 partners making sure everyone is well taken care of. But we'll never forget our original partner, who helped us get the ball rolling in the first place. And more than that, they've been there since the beginning for our own portfolio founders, including Christopher Lynch / Rekord, Paul Ryan / Otel AI, and Mohan Sai / Lette. Their testimonials speak volumes. A huge thank you to all the team at Browne Jacobson, especially: Will, Ciaran, Jeanne Kelly, Declan Cushley, and Gavin Bluett ❤️ 🙏 🫡 Baseline Community + Fund / Fiona Kelly

Eamon Leonard shared thisAt its core, Rebase is about founders having raw, honest, and vulnerable conversations with each other. Regardless of stage (pre-product to exit), regardless of status (founder, or partner) everyone is a peer, and conversations with peers lead to breakthroughs. When people step back from the "yeah we're crushing it" bullshit, to the "it's the hardest thing I've ever done" reality, problems become solvable, and new friends are made. When we started Rebase as a weekend retreat, this was what we were aiming for, and this time it's no different. Thank you to our weekend retreat partners for helping make this happen! Ed O'Riordan and Zuleyka Strasner at Amazon Web Services (AWS) - you all know what they do, and they've been the leaders at doing it since 2006 🏆 https://lnkd.in/d4m5d2Zc Cian Crosse, founder of nineDots.io - the man, the myth, the legend of Irish tech recruitment. Eamon Leonard shared thisIn 12 days time we kick things off at Rebase, 300 invited founders and investors from across Europe in Dublin's Liberties, Wed 7th to Fri 9th Oct. Quickly followed by 85 guests in cabins by a lake, in the woods in the heart of Cavan - Fri 9th Oct to Mon 12th Oct. We could not have produced something like this without the support of our partners. Eamon Leonard shared thisConversations with peers. That's the core of Rebase. It's a simple idea, and a very human experience, but it can be surprisingly hard to get it right. It tends to come down to the people, and our belief is that when our guests come together to explore an idea through conversation, it will compress the time it takes to build relationships. At rebase we'll be digging into three broad themes: 🛠️ The Work: how product is built in 2026, tooling coming down the lines, tech debt, trends, challenges, speed. 💰 The Market: everything from GTM to Fundraising. 🤝 The People: co-founders, leadership, building teams, culture. We are excited to welcome established Irish leaders, and a host of up-and-comers as partners to help us dig into topics across these themes. Fin - 🦄 No intro needed, they've had a busy few weeks 🎉🎉🎉 huge thanks to Alan Mc Glinchey Tines - 🦄 Dublin-built and fast growing, giving teams a secure place to put AI to work across their most sensitive systems, data, and processes. Eamon Leonard shared thisWe're two weeks out from Rebase! We're delighted to be hosting 300 founders and investors in Dublin with Frontline Ventures, who have been fantastic to collaborate with. Thanks so much to 🌎🌍Will Prendergast, Dylan Scully, Hannah Skingle, and the rest of the team for their efforts over the past few months. Frontline are hosting an investor dinner on the opening night, in partnership with Left Lane Capital and Paddy Dillon, thanks Paddy 🫡 At the same time, founders will gather at the Teeling Whiskey Company distillery in the Liberties, for dinner, drinks, socials and a bit of poker ♠️ ♥️ ♣️ ♦️ Thanks to our friends in Playfair and Andrew Sheffield for helping to organise. It'll probably be the only time a founder can sit across from him and call his bluff 🤣 Thanks also to Fionnán Alt, founder of Geometric (helping fast growing companies squeeze more out of their AI infrastructure), and Eoin Bara, founder of Tipple (making it easy for producers of wine, beer and spirits to compliantly sell across borders). We'll be announcing more partners this week, we've room for 1-2 more. If you're interested, get in touch. Baseline Community + Fund / Fiona Kelly

Eamon Leonard reposted thisEamon Leonard reposted thisOnly a few days left to apply to the Tectonic pitching competition, so let's keep this post practical 👅 ScaleFund is one of the three funds putting up 300.000€ for the winner of the competition. 100INN and Baseline Community + Fund are the other two. If I were a founder deciding whether to spend an evening on the application form, here's what I'd consider : *You need to be European, founded in 2022 or later, and have raised less than 2M€. Thirty startups get selected across three verticals: AI/SaaS, hardware/deeptech, and impact. You don't need a conference ticket to apply. *Thirty teams will pitch in front of a room of investors who are there specifically to look at early-stage European companies, on 21st of October in #Ghent. Twenty-nine won't get the 300k, but most of the value is in the other room anyway. If you're building something and raising in the next twelve months, the application costs you an evening. Worth a shot? Applications close September 25th 👇 (link in comment below) Gauthier van der Elst Paul Risopoulos Thomas Pav Lorenzo CASSIERS Stef-Kamil Eamon Leonard

Eamon Leonard reposted thisEamon Leonard reposted thisPressure Cooker is our attempt to help people who haven't taken the leap into becoming founders just yet. You get less than a week to get rid of all distractions and just build something meaningful. If it works out, your team could receive a commitment of 100k towards your pre-seed round from Baseline Community + Fund. A lot of folks who aren't familiar with venture have told me, “100k is a lot of money, but it isn't enough for me to leave my job/drop out and start a company.” That's super fair, and I agree. But that first cheque gives you a kick-start. Warm intros to angels and VCs in the ecosystem can then help you build out your pre-seed round, which is typically €1M–€2M for companies in Baseline's portfolio. Through Pressure Cooker, you will have a hell of a start in a very short amount of time. It's a chance to back yourself, take your life in a different direction and give something of your own a proper shot. If it doesn't work out this time, you can go back to your job/college. Knowing that you atleast gave it a go! I don't think anything quite like this has been done in Ireland before. Build some cool things and, most importantly, have fun! Massive shout-out to Eamon Leonard and Fiona Kelly for having the courage to execute crazy, ambitious ideas like this. These are the things that will help us take Dublin's ecosystem to the next level! Applications close on Friday, 18th September. If someone comes to mind while reading this, send it to them. And if you have any questions, DM me. CC Harsh Chandra, Micaela Serraiocco, Avanti Rao, Mati Remi

Eamon Leonard reacted on thisEamon Leonard reacted on thisOur guy Shane O'Connor is joining us full-time as GTM Partner, leading our developer tools and open source practice at QC Growth Shane has been on a mission over the last 18 months building The DevTool GTM Company, and he's one of the top GTM minds in the space. He started working with us back in February and made an impact on Day 1, helping bring his expertise to our founders. DevTools is where we started and has been a core vertical for QC since 2023. It's a different beast than other verticals, and you need real repetition and experience to succeed. Shane brings years inside the space at Scalar, Tyk, and SmartBear, and has a real understanding of how developers adopt products and who actually signs the contract, and a network built on trust. He's also a legend and a joy to work with day in and day out, so we couldn't be more excited to have him on our side. Full Announcement: https://lnkd.in/grCAea34

Eamon Leonard reacted on thisEamon Leonard reacted on thisSome news. The DevTool GTM Company, the advisory I've been running for the last 18 months, has been acquired by QC Growth. I'm going all in, joining as a GTM Partner and leading QC's DevTools vertical. I came on board at QC as a contractor back in February, and to be honest, I hoped this day would come. Working with Luke Bivens & Jake Bivens and the wider team (you know who you are) has been the most enjoyable year of my career. I think I've finally found my thing, and the people to do it with. Not just a team of world-class operators, but a genuinely good bunch of humans who look out for one another. It has been an intense year. Taking the plunge by starting my own advisory and leaving full-time employment, taking on the contractor work with QC, working as Head of Growth at APIwiz, getting married, at the beginning of a mortgage application and keeping up with two boys aged 1 and 4. (and my wife) A lot, all at once. So I'm glad to be simplifying things now and giving my clients my full focus, with no distractions. And my family, more importantly. In the traditional sense, this isn't a groundbreaking acquisition. But for me it absolutely is, and something I'm very proud of. As a wise man once said, "let's effin' go".

Eamon Leonard liked thisEamon Leonard liked thisA $5M venture fund sounds like a lot of money, but it also tells you almost nothing about what the person running it actually earns. That disconnect is one of the stranger things about venture. The headline number belongs to the fund. The manager is responsible for deploying it well, operating the firm, and eventually returning capital to investors. The economics only get interesting if the investments work, which means a GP can spend years sourcing, diligencing, helping founders, managing reporting, dealing with legal and admin, and still have no idea what the job will ultimately pay. That uncertainty is built into the model. I think people outside venture often confuse capital under management with personal wealth. They’re very different things. This is Part 2 of VC for People Who Didn’t Go to Stanford. I’m breaking down the actual mechanics behind funds, carry, ownership, returns, and why fund size changes how investors behave. Vibe-coding startup hits $2M ARR in 2 weeks, lands $100M valuation 🚀 Anything launched just a month ago but already cracked the code on production-ready AI app building. • $11M Series A led by Footwork at $100M valuation • $2M annualized run rate in first 14 days • Full-stack platform: databases, storage, payments included • Users already shipping real apps to App Store How founders Dhruv Amin and Marcus Lowe built this: • Identified gap: competitors like Lovable/Replit excel at prototypes but lack production infrastructure • Shut down profitable $2M ARR dev marketplace in 2023 to pivot to AI • Built entire backend in-house vs relying on third-party tools like Supabase • Positioned as "Shopify of vibe-coding" for monetizable apps • Launched with complete infrastructure stack from day one • Focused on enabling real businesses, not just demos The takeaway: In crowded markets, winning often means solving the next-level problem everyone else ignores. Lette AI raises $1.4M pre-seed to transform property management with agentic #AI Dublin-based Lette AI, an agentic AI operating system for modern property teams, has raised $1.4 million in pre-seed funding. The round was led by Pitchdrive, with participation from Baseline Venture, Lugus Capital, and angels including Mark Ransford and Conor Sheridan (Nory AI). Founded in March 2025 by Mohan Sai and Jakub Rajek, Lette AI automates the end-to-end property leasing workflow, cutting administrative tasks by up to 90% and handling tenant onboarding and requests instantly. Already embedded across thousands of apartments with Ireland’s largest property management companies — including Grayling Properties, Storyhouse by Ardstone, Hali, Liberties House, Rathmines House, and Lugus Capital — the company aims to scale to 25,000 properties by March 2026 and reach $1.1M ARR. The company recently appointed Jon Hammond as Head of Growth, bringing 20+ years of SaaS and PropTech experience. The next phase of growth will focus on expanding the product engineering team and advancing autonomous AI agents for leasing, operations, and resident engagement. #LetteAI #PropTech #AI #AgenticAI #PropertyManagement #StartupFunding #PreSeedFunding #SaaS #Innovation #DublinTech #RealEstateTech #Automation #AIinRealEstate #Pitchdrive

Ahti Heinla is not your average founder. Having being part of the founding team of Skype he is the archetype of a madman inventor engineer - he architected the core p2p network that made all the free video calls possible for hundreds of millions without using a central server. I know him for two decades and have been rooting for the Starship Technologies project from the start. This certainly has not been a painless path, hardware startup with a software innovation is not an easy thing to scale. I chatted with Ahti during Plural founder summit last month and he shared in detail how only now many of their original hypotheses are thoroughly validated. During this path Ahti has had to invent him as a CEO and a business leader as well and seems like that invention is also going well. Europe needs more hardware wins. So I am sure the group now is way bigger who are rooting for Starship's scaling phase to succeed. 🚀

Lovable Valued at $6.6B as Accel Backs Europe’s Vibe Coding Boom AI startup Lovable has reached a $6.6 billion valuation in its latest funding round, underscoring the extraordinary pace of growth in the so-called “vibe coding” sector. Sources familiar with the deal told CNBC that U.S. venture capital firm Accel participated in the round, alongside Khosla Ventures. The figure represents more than a threefold increase from Lovable’s $1.8 billion valuation following its July funding round....
