A silent, life-threatening blood clot was hiding in plain sight and Carolyn didn't feel a thing. Having already rung the bell after beating cancer for the second time, her routine follow-up scan at WellSpan Health revealed an unexpected emergency. With Aidoc integrated into their workflow, her care team was alerted, getting her straight to the right treatment exactly when it mattered most. "They want to keep me around for a while," Carolyn shared. Learn how we empower healthcare systems to elevate patient care every single day. Read Carolyn's full story: https://lnkd.in/dUz6Sm23

“An AI alert is not a patient outcome.” At the Newsweek AI Health Summit in NYC, our Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Jesse Ehrenfeld MD MPH, joined health system leaders to focus on what truly matters in healthcare technology: clinical action over simple detection. Real progress happens when tools fit seamlessly into daily workflows, helping care teams deliver faster, better treatment for every patient. Thank you to Newsweek and all the leaders working together to turn technology into meaningful patient care.

Global Chief Medical Officer | Former President @ American Medical Association (2023-2024) | Board Member & Advisor

An AI alert is not a patient outcome. At Newsweek's AI Health Summit in New York, I was encouraged by how often the conversation moved beyond what the technology can do to what *actually* changes for patients. As a physician that is the question I care about most. Finding an abnormality is only the beginning. Does the right clinician see it? Is someone responsible for the next step? Does the patient receive appropriate care sooner? Without those connections, more detection can simply create more unfinished work. The discussions reinforced something central to my work at Aidoc: clinical AI implementation needs to be a care delivery effort, with technology supporting it. That means involving physicians, nurses & operational teams from the start, designing reliable handoffs, and measuring whether care actually improves not just whether a tool gets used. Administrative efficiency matters. But we should be just as ambitious about preventing harm, shortening delays in diagnosis & treatment and giving clinicians more time to care for people. I was especially encouraged by the discussion about sharing implementation lessons across health systems. We should not all have to rediscover the same workflow challenges independently! Sharing what works, what fails & how we evaluate performance should be part of the work particularly to help extend the benefits to rural and less resourced settings. I left energized by the possibilities but also reminded of our responsibility to distinguish enthusiasm from evidence. The goal is not a hospital with more AI. It is a health system where fewer patients fall through the cracks. Thank you to Newsweek and the clinicians, health system leaders & innovators who brought such practical perspectives to the conversation. #PatientSafety #ClinicalAI #HealthcareInnovation

On the latest episode of Radio Advisory, Sutter Health’s Chief Medical Informatics Officer, Dr. Veena Jones, recently shared how their health system cracked the code on scaling clinical AI enterprise-wide. Instead of stitching together point solutions, Sutter built an infrastructure-first model anchored by enterprise platforms like Aidoc. By embedding Aidoc directly into everyday workflows, they created a unified AI ecosystem that supports clinicians across the care journey. Her perspective offers a valuable blueprint for healthcare leaders navigating AI adoption: - Focusing on workflow-first infrastructure - Partnering with AI platforms built for true enterprise scale. Aidoc was in Silver Spring, MD today for FDA Vendor Day yesterday. Our Global Chief Medical Officer, Jesse Ehrenfeld MD MPH, and Director of Regulatory Affairs, Quentin Moore, PhD, MPH, R.T.(R)(T)(QM), were on the ground to discuss the future of AI in healthcare, regulatory excellence, and safe innovation for patient care. Proud to be part of the discussion shaping where healthcare AI goes next. *The devices are now under FDA review and 510(k) pending, not currently available for sale in the U.S.

Carolyn rang the bell for the second time. At 82, she'd beaten cancer again and was ready to get back to camping trips, family time and the active life she shares with her husband of 62 years. Then a routine follow-up scan found something unexpected: a suspected blood clot in her lung. Through WellSpan Health's use of Aidoc, the suspected finding was flagged and prioritized, notifying the clinical care team so they could confirm and coordinate care immediately. Within about an hour, Carolyn's care team was reaching out. She went to WellSpan York Hospital and received treatment the same day. Carolyn's story shows the human impact of faster imaging workflows and what our partnership with WellSpan Health is built to support across the health system. Since implementing Aidoc in 2023, WellSpan has cut outpatient critical-case imaging turnaround time from 25 hours to about two hours. More than 6,000 patients have benefited from earlier case prioritization across over 1.7 million scans analyzed to date. Carolyn is just one of those patients, who have benefited from WellSpan Health’s innovative use of technology and dedication to putting its patients first. See Carolyn and Dr. Lim pictured recently below. Learn how Aidoc and WellSpan Health are supporting more coordinated care: https://lnkd.in/dUz6Sm23

Every second counts when delivering life-saving insights to clinicians. The FDA has granted Breakthrough Device Designation for CARE™ Chest X-Ray (CXR) Triage, now officially 510(k) submitted! This marks the third FDA Breakthrough Device Designation in just over a year. Powered by CARE, healthcare's first clinical-grade foundation model, this is another major leap forward in our development velocity, allowing us to deliver meaningful solutions to clinical teams faster than ever. Chest X-rays are the world’s most common imaging exam, but sheer volume creates a constant challenge for care teams. Built to fit seamlessly into existing workflows, CARE CXR Triage is designed to automatically flag suspected urgent findings with the potential to help health systems elevate care quality, clear backlogs faster, and improve patient outcomes. Read how we’re shaping the future of diagnostic AI: https://lnkd.in/d9qw4_Yy *The device received breakthrough device designation by FDA, and is now under FDA review and 510(k) pending, not currently available for sale in the U.S.

In a recent interview with CARAVAN Wellness, Aidoc’s Global Chief Medical Officer, Jesse Ehrenfeld MD MPH, breaks down what it takes to turn complex health information into meaningful, real-world action. Dr. Ehrenfeld highlights why health literacy and equity must be designed into technology from day one. True patient engagement happens when technology, clear content, and human empathy align to answer the patient's most urgent question: What does this mean for me, and what do I do next?
