This is a small, hands-on, in-person program for early-stage B2B founders who are still deeply involved in sales and want to turn founder-led selling into a real, repeatable system. A few important details: - This is the only NYC cohort before June / July - 2 full days, very practical, zero fluff - Built for founders selling complex B2B products - Small group, deep work, real deals from your pipeline We’ll be hosted at Margalit Startup City – Soho – a perfect environment for focused, serious work. Huge thanks to Eden Margalit for hosting us 🙏 👉 All the details about the program are in the first comment. 👉 In the second comment, I also shared a fresh podcast episode I recorded this week – if you want to get a feel for my style and how I think about sales. Thanks MARC CROSBY for your great Burn The Playbook Podcast. If you’re a founder: - Closing deals yourself - Feeling that sales works, but isn’t yet predictable - Wanting sharper discovery, better deal control, and cleaner execution This is likely a great fit. On Freund פרסם/פרסמה את זה מחדשOn Freund פרסם/פרסמה את זה מחדשManhattan glows hard, but recently at Raines Law Room at the William, the glow went quiet. On November 25, tucked behind velvet near Bryant Park, TechTable NYC returned, this time with a sharper edge. No stage. No slides. Just the kind of table where leaders walk in with scar tissue and leave with blueprints. Hosted by Vention, the night was built around a single theme: CTO mistakes. Not hypotheticals. Real ones. The kind that cost teams trust, capital, and quarters. The kind you only talk about in rooms where truth has clearance. Moderated by Jean Barmash (Particle Health), the conversation moved like a scalpel, deep, deliberate, and clean. Humane instigation at its best. The table was full of operators who’ve earned the right to speak plainly: Felix Lipov (Enertiv), Lawrence Krubner (The Fourth Effect), Vinny DiDonato (Instinct Science), John Mann (Fora Travel), Radim Teplitskiy and Alex Potter (Soros Fund Management), Gianluca Biccari (OpenGov Inc.), Frédéric R. (Dashlane), On Freund (Wilco), Jessica Fredican (Digital Citizen / The Fourth Effect), Rinku Sharma and Shmuel Zalmanov (Boost Payment Solutions), 🚀 Dan Horbatt (Sheer Health), Daniel Rolnick, and Vassili Skarine (Snowflake). From trust cultures that confuse popularity with performance to performance management that lands like villain origin stories, this room didn’t flinch. Layoffs. Culture clashes. Exec silence. Burnout math. Metrics misused. If leadership has a weight class, this was heavyweight. TechTable isn’t a dinner series. It’s a system check. A room where good leaders confess the hardest lessons before they become headlines. And this one? This one mattered. #Networking #Community #Leadership #Management #CTO #CEO #Founders #EngineeringLeadership #TechEcosystem #Partnership #NYCTech #Growth #PeerLearning If engineering peace of mind is what you crave, Vention is your zen.The Room Where It Mattered: TechTable by VentionThe Room Where It Mattered: TechTable by VentionJesse Landry

On Freund פרסם/פרסמה את זה מחדשOn Freund פרסם/פרסמה את זה מחדשWilco Aviation code for “will comply.” A name that lands perfectly. Because that's what devs do every day: comply with chaos, debug turbulence, keep the code flying. But what if they could train for the storm before takeoff? That's the question Wilco asked, and answered. Born in Tel Aviv in Aug 2021, Wilco built the #flightsimulator for #softwaredevs: an AI-powered, fully immersive platform that lets #engineers sharpen real-world skills without breaking prod. No theory, no tutorials, just live-fire training in a zero-risk cockpit. Co-Founders On Freund, Shem Magnezi & Alon Carmel 🎗️ didn't dream this up in a lab, they earned it in the trenches. Freund, CEO, scaled WeWork's eng org from 9→1,000, leading product & markets before VP roles at Handy (now Angi). Magnezi, CTO, spent years at Meta & WeWork mastering how teams learn under real pressure. Carmel, CPO, built product orgs at Wibiya, Younity & WeWork, lectured at IDC Herzliya, and launched ventures like "I Want To Be A Product Manager." Together, they've turned decades of engineering & product battle scars into an experience engine built for every dev hungry to level up. Inside Wilco, devs join a fictional e-commerce company, Anythink, and take on "quests" that feel ripped from production. Broken feature? Check. Angry customer ping on Snack, their simulated Slack? Check. Logs, alerts, traffic spikes, every detail mirrors real-world ops. They debug, patch, push to GitHub, all guided by an #AIco-pilot that adapts difficulty, skill path & learning curve. It's not gamified coding. It's flight training for your brain. The data backs it up. Wilco boasts 20%+ #questcompletion rates, miles ahead of industry averages. Partnerships with MongoDB, New Relic, Tabnine, Harness, Okta, Fastly & ngrok. Recognition from Google for Startups' Growth Academy: AI for Education. A $7M seed led by Hetz Ventures with Vertex Inc., Flybridge, Samsung Next & Operator Partners onboard. Angels like Farhan Thawar (Shopify) & Sagi Schliesser (he / him) (CrazyLabs) know a new category when they see one, and Wilco's carving it fast. This isn't another edtech story. It's infrastructure for skill velocity. Because talent is global, but opportunity isn't, and Wilco's building the bridge. Enterprises use it to #onboard, #train & #retain. Devs use it to build muscle memory no credential can fake. The mission stays pure: democratize developer growth. Wilco's mantra says it all, Never Stop Developing. They're hiring across #eng, #product, #sales & #success. For those chasing mastery, the runway's open. Buckle up, the next flight is yours. #Startups #StartupSpotlight #StartupJourney #StartupGrowth #FounderStory #AI #DevTools #DeveloperTraining #SoftwareEngineering #Data #DataDriven #Infrastructure #Technology #Innovation #TechEcosystem #StartupEcosystem #Hiring #TechHiring

On Freund פרסם/פרסמה את זה מחדשOn Freund פרסם/פרסמה את זה מחדשLast week, I saw something powerful at the Google for Startups Growth Academy: AI for Education graduation in London. A group of AI-driven edtech founders, coming from different markets, backgrounds, and challenges. Yet, instead of competing, they became each other’s biggest allies. These founders first met in Paris a few months ago. (We selected the best Edu-Tech Startups in EMEA, and we are so lucky to have them!) Since then, they’ve: ✅ Shared insights and strategies (without holding back) ✅ Celebrated wins together—some have already raised funding or hit profitability ✅ Built relationships that will outlast this program We talk a lot about AI transforming education (and it is). But the biggest unlock for these founders wasn’t just AI. → It was access to the right people. 3 key lessons from this experience: 1️⃣ The best insights come from other founders At every stage, someone else has already solved the problem you're facing. Find them. Learn from them. 2️⃣ Community > competition The founders who grow fastest aren’t the ones who hoard knowledge. They’re the ones who share, collaborate, and build together. 3️⃣ Face-to-face still wins Zoom calls are great. But nothing replaces real, in-person connections. → Meaningful, unfiltered conversations → Trust that only comes from real connections → Ideas that spark in the moment It’s just different. If you’re a founder, ask yourself: 🔹 Who’s in your support system? 🔹 Are you surrounding yourself with the right people? 🔹 What’s one relationship you should invest more in right now? Thank you to the startups for their whole-hearted collaboration in the program: Angaza Elimu, BLISKO (formerly The Village Network), Complori, Correcto, Digify Africa, eKidz.eu, EvidenceB, Hawkings, Jotit, LearnWise AI, MOONHUB, Optima, OpenCyber AI, Pandatron, SignLab, Story Spark, ubiMaster, Utiva, Wilco, WILOKI, ExamSolutions And thank you to my incredible team for nailing this event: Aleksandra Garbala Noam Feinstein, Marta Mozes, Helena García, Doriel Shilo, Benjamin N'gonga What’s the most valuable connection that’s helped you grow? On Freund פרסם/פרסמה את זה מחדשOn Freund פרסם/פרסמה את זה מחדשIn 2019, asking #Alexa to build a scalable system sounded absurd. Today, it’s a near reality. What’s next? AI isn’t just creating tools - it’s reshaping how we think, collaborate, and innovate. But to harness this power, we need more than technical proficiency. We need the courage to think differently, to integrate diverse perspectives, and to build solutions that don’t just work - but matter. Support platforms like Wilco dive into the upskilling journey, and prepare yourself to lead in a world where technology is as much about people and purpose as it is about code. This week, Alon Carmel shares why code-based content is a great starting point for AI integration. ************** "𝑻𝒆𝒍𝒍 𝑼𝒔 𝑨𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒄𝒐: Wilco’s virtual lab empowers companies to create interactive and immersive training and onboarding programs. From training customers or partners on product use cases, to teaching engineering teams on different tech stacks, Wilco’s platform has a customizable solution to fit all different training, vetting, and upskilling needs. 𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑶𝒑𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒉𝒂𝒔 𝑨𝑰 𝑩𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑩𝒖𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔? / 𝒌𝒆𝒚 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒃𝒍𝒆𝒎𝒔 𝒔𝒐𝒍𝒗𝒆𝒅 One of the key challenges in our field is creating a large catalog of content, for which the bottleneck tends to be human labor. Luckily, Wilco's pieces of content are built with code, just like the content they cover, which proved to be ideal for #GenAI models. AI has evolved our thinking from the catalog as a constraint to an infinite, on-demand, catalog in any technological topic. 𝑯𝒐𝒘 𝑰𝒔 𝑨𝑰 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒔𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒖𝒑’𝒔 𝑶𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔? Our main tools are GitHub #Copilot in engineering, #Midjourney in design and marketing, and #ChatGPT all around. Internally, our product has been using #OpenAI. We also have an upcoming quest covering Retrieval-augmented generation (RAG). We’re not stopping there, though, and are constantly exploring new ways to leverage AI to improve our product and our productivity. 𝑯𝒐𝒘 𝑫𝒐𝒆𝒔 𝑨𝑰 𝑺𝒉𝒂𝒑𝒆 𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒖𝒑’𝒔 𝑭𝒖𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝑮𝒐𝒂𝒍𝒔? AI is at the nexus of several domains on which AI has a large, and positive, impact. Software Engineering, Education, Customer Experience, are all undergoing transformational shifts due to AI. We think that static API documentation, video-based onboarding, and non-adaptive catalogs will all be challenged by better alternatives. We plan on pioneering this industry with more AI features such as intelligent bots, adaptive learning, and a truly infinite catalog that brings more value to our customers and community." On Freund אהבתי את זהOn Freund אהבתי את זהI am excited to announce my new role as Vice President of AI & Forward Deployed Engineering at Eon.io . My experience working closely with customers on AI and large-scale transformations, highlighted a recurring challenge: companies invest significantly in AI, yet their data remains fragmented, difficult to trust, and often unusable in production. This gap is precisely what drew me to Eon. Eon is creating a revolutionary data foundation that ensures data is continuously available rather than merely stored. Our cloud-native approach allows us to connect to data across various environments, including legacy systems, without intrusive deployments, making it searchable and usable as part of a unified layer. Our technology is built on open standards like Apache Iceberg and Parquet, coupled with advanced storage optimizations such as cross-dataset deduplication and automated table maintenance. This enables massive, distributed datasets to function as a single system, eliminating the typical pipeline complexity and lock-in while offering substantial cost savings. My team will collaborate closely with customers, focusing on their desired business outcomes and swiftly building the necessary pipelines and AI workflows. Our platform integrates high-throughput ingestion, compaction strategies, schema evolution, ACID guarantees, managed compute, and a BYO catalog—all designed to seamlessly fit into existing ecosystems and operate effectively at scale. This is the essence of agentic systems: providing AI with reliable, governed access to business data, allowing it to reason, act, and drive results. We have already demonstrated this capability at scale, and I look forward to the exciting journey ahead! It’s also bittersweet to leave the AWS Generative AI Innovation Center. Taimur Rashid is leading one of the most impressive organizations in the industry, helping customers bring real AI workloads into production. I’ve been lucky to work with an incredible team pushing these workloads every day, and I hope we get to work together again on the shared mission of bringing agentic systems into production.

On Freund אהבתי את זהOn Freund אהבתי את זהZoomInfo found a way to detect and resolve OOM crashes within minutes, instead of researching traces and logs for hours and days - by turning to runtime context. ZoomInfo has long running cron jobs that intermittently suffered from OOM crashes, one of the most frustrating challenges to deal with. It was clear these OOMs were stemming from ELU spikes, but what was unclear was what was causing them. Once ZoomInfo plugged Hud in production, it immediately became clear which code paths and under which conditions are causing these. In this particular case the root cause was massive invocations of a dependency lookup that weren’t necessary. With deep forensic context straight from production - fixing the issue with Claude took minutes. After the fix, dependency lookups dropped by 98%, peak memory usage fell by 62%, and the crashes stopped. From a frustrating, intricate out-of-memory crash that would take days to research and solve - to a solution in minutes with AI. Huge credit to Guy Levin and the ZoomInfo engineering team for applying that level of rigor and sharing the details. On Freund אהבתי את זהTwenty-five years is not just a tenure — it's a legacy. This week, Laura Baldwin retires as President of O'Reilly, and I struggle to find words that do her justice. So I'll borrow from what she has always modeled: honesty, simplicity, and leading with integrity. Laura, thank you. For guiding a company that refused to "chase a buck" at the expense of its mission. For always explaining the why and never losing clarity on the mission or the values. For proving, again and again, that you can lead with integrity and still win. And for mentoring me in ways I am only beginning to fully appreciate. I am deeply honored to carry this mission forward. "Spreading the knowledge of innovators" is as urgent and relevant today as it has ever been, and I don't take lightly what it means to steward something Laura and Tim O'Reilly have built with such care over so many years. To the entire O'Reilly team: Laura called you rockstars, and she's right. I can't wait to keep building with you. And Laura, enjoy every single moment with your grandbaby! You've more than earned it. ❤️On Freund אהבתי את זהAfter 25 years at O’Reilly, I will be retiring in late March. Stepping into a new phase of life is always a mix of excitement and a touch of sadness. I’ve had an amazing 45-year career and have worked alongside some of the smartest people I’ve ever known. I especially relish my time leading O’Reilly because of the unique responsibility I was entrusted with. Running a self-funded, privately-held company comes with its own set of challenges, but it also provides a rare freedom. Leading a mission-driven organization that refuses to deviate from what is right simply to "chase a buck" or squeeze out an extra point of margin has defined who I am today. I have seen firsthand what is possible when you lead by principle. Sadly, this is a discipline lost on many corporate leaders today. Our current markets are often trapped in a cycle of misaligned incentives, where the pressure to deliver short-term quarterly results and prop up stock prices outweighs long-term health and integrity. When "success" is measured only by a ticker symbol, the human element and the core mission often get left behind. I am proud that we chose a different path and am forever grateful to Tim O’Reilly for allowing me to continue the journey he started. Since sharing this news, friends and colleagues have asked what I am most proud of. I have two answers: people and principles. I have always operated from a place of mentoring and promoting from within. I’ve found that when you truly challenge and support people, they rise to do amazing things. I am also incredibly proud of the operating principles I authored when I took over as President in 2011. They remain just as relevant today as they were then. However, if I look beyond the office walls, my greatest success has been my family. I have worked hard to balance family and work. That does not mean every day is a 50/50 split. Some days one takes precedence over the other, and that’s ok. Too often, I see women who believe work/life balance should be a daily occurrence and give up on their careers because they cannot achieve it. It can be done, but the support of a company that aligns with your goals is imperative. Being able to spend much of my career at O’Reilly is what made this 25-year journey sustainable and meaningful. So, now is the time to move on. I’m looking forward to spending time with my husband, who is already retired, and our new granddaughter. I leave O’Reilly in the best possible hands. Promoting Julie Baron to President was one of my final and most confident decisions. Her curiosity about technology, her leadership capabilities, and her inherent empathy make her the perfect successor to carry on the mission Tim O’Reilly established, and I have nurtured…adding many of my own touches and strategies along the way. As for the future, I remain O’Reilly’s biggest cheerleader. Only now, I’ll be cheering with a grandbaby on my lap. Much love to the entire O'Reilly crew. You are forever rockstars in my mind!

On Freund אהבתי את זהOn Freund אהבתי את זהWhen I started Freshly in 2012, it took about $1 million to find out if the idea worked. Today, you could run that same test for under $50,000. That is a 20x improvement! That changes everything. For the first time, starting a business does not require making a huge bet before you have real signal. Shopify already exists. 3PLs already exist. Contract manufacturers already exist. AI can now do work that used to require a team. So the real advantage is not money. It is speed. Learn fast. Test cheap. Commit after signal. The barrier now is not access. It is fear. The people who win in this era will not be the most prepared. They will be the ones who stop waiting.

On Freund אהבתי את זהOn Freund אהבתי את זהI’m excited to introduce the first secure agentic browser: Prisma Browser. AI is quickly moving from assisting… to acting. And that changes everything. What happens when an agent has your credentials? When it can take actions across apps on your behalf? This isn’t just an evolution of copilots. It’s a completely new risk model. With Prisma Browser, we built a secure agentic workspace where AI can act. With full visibility, governance, and real-time protection at the moment of action. 🛡️ Secure every AI-driven action 🔒 Protect sensitive data in real time ⚖️ Govern both human and agent activity We also support a bring-your-own-LLM approach, giving organizations flexibility without compromising security. The deeper I dive into the most anticipated panel of the year — How AI Will Shape the Future of Code, and What Should We Do Now as Managers - the more I realize: this isn’t just another tech trend. This is a once-in-a-generation shift. AI is rewriting the rules of software development. But where are we in this revolution? Is now the time to go all in, or risk being left behind? Do we need to rethink everything — hiring, onboarding, team structure, how we measure impact, and plan work? Which tools are truly game-changing? How are other teams — in product, QA, DevOps - already using AI to move faster and smarter? What exactly is an AI engineer — a hype title, or a critical new role we should be hiring for right now? And THE question - will AI stop at being a co-pilot, or is it on track to become the pilot, replacing developers altogether? Curious to attend? You don’t win a city-wide project on the strength of just one feature. You win it by proving you've got everything they need, and that you can run an entire city as one system. Tel Aviv issued an RFP to all major vendors and after a lengthy review, they selected the TIBA X60 hardware line together with the SPARK Parking Platform as the backbone for modernizing their municipal parking network. The scope is significant. More than 60 garages, with new facilities added each year. The project includes: ✅ Upgrading hardware city-wide ✅ Modernizing the command center ✅ Migrating the entire operation to SPARK ✅ Customized developments, deep software integrations, and strict IT-security compliance A city of this scale can’t rely on disconnected tools. They need a unified, resilient ecosystem — one platform, consistent operations, predictable performance, and room to grow. SPARK was built precisely for environments where real-time visibility, reliability, and seamless expansion aren’t “nice to have” but mandatory for future-proofing, growing cities like TLV. And we’re just getting started. #tiba #parking #smartcities #mobility #parkingtechnology

Israeli Tech Reignites with $9.5B Raised in 2025 and Momentum Continues to Build. In just the first half of 2025, startups raised an impressive $9.5 billion, nearly matching the total for all of 2024 and on pace to rival the record-breaking $26 billion raised in 2021. This remarkable growth comes despite an ongoing security crisis and economic uncertainty, highlighting the unparalleled strength and resilience of Israel’s innovation ecosystem. At the heart of this momentum is a surge in early-stage mega-deals known as “super-seeds,” driven by experienced, repeat founders and backed by top-tier U.S. venture capital funds. These rounds, often reaching $20–30 million or more, reflect a growing sense of urgency among global investors who are eager to secure their stake in Israel’s next wave of groundbreaking companies. Israel’s unique concentration of world-class talent, deep-tech expertise, and proven entrepreneurial track record continues to attract leading international funds. Firms like Greylock Partners, Founders Fund, and General Catalyst are expanding their presence locally, recognizing that the next generation of category-defining startups is being built here and now. The global tech landscape may be shifting, but Israel remains at the forefront turning adversity into opportunity and vision into global impact. https://lnkd.in/eaykTFsF #IsraelInnovation #StartupNation #TechResilience #VCFunding #DeepTech #Cybersecurity #DefenseTech #AIInfrastructure #InnovationEconomy #GlobalTech

Our posts about ivrit.ai are usually (surprise surprise) written in Hebrew. Today, we're making an exception to accomodate our global viewers as we share our experience with the ElevenLabs' scribe-v1 Speech-to-Text model. As most of you know, we maintain a Hebrew Transcription leaderboard on Huggingface (link in first comment). This was needed as fleurs and common-voice are low-quality datasets with regards to Hebrew. When ElevenLabs launched scribe_v1, we were eager to try it out. The initial results were a mixed bag: some benchmarks where scribe_v1 provides best-in-class results, others where it fumbles significantly. Our analysis mostly hints at issues with long-form transcriptions, where it simply "drops" large parts of the text after 1-2 minutes. We had a quick discussion about this with ElevenLabs support, but the end result is still subpar performance on Hebrew transcription, and we suspect this may be true for other low-resource languages. We think scribe_v1's technology is best-in-class, and are hoping to work together with the ElevenLabs team to fix this. So, if anyone at EL wants to chime in and make this happen (Mati Staniszewski Piotr Dabkowski :)), please reach out to us. We believe this might make scribe_v1 much better at not just Hebrew, so it might be worth your time. Our benchmarks are open, we're a non-profit, and in the last few weeks we open-sourced >5000 hours of speech with high-quality transcriptions. If anyone here has friends at EL and wants to help, please tag them! Kinneret Misgav, PhD Yoad Snapir Yanir Marmor

“The system is broken.” We keep chasing $100B valuations like it’s the norm. Said it last week, but it’s worth repeating, because let’s be honest… most of its paper. It’s not ARR driving these numbers. It’s hyper-funding rounds, inflated expectations, and a complete lack of liquidity. You’ve got companies that once hit $20B, now worth $600M. Others get acquired for $700M and then shut down within a year. And when you get to those inflated valuations, you're trapped: You can't exit. You’re not growing. You’re not liquid. You’re just stuck. The irony? Some of the smartest teams today are not raising massive rounds: → They're lean. → They’re keeping equity. → And they’re building actual businesses. So how are we going to get to $100B valuations off tiny teams, no revenue, and broken exits? You can’t. VCs are under pressure. LPs want liquidity. But IPOs are rare, private equity isn’t always interested, and secondaries, well, let’s be real… not a real solution for everyone. The system is overdue for change. Until then, we need to stop worshipping empty valuations. What’s one thing you would change about how we fund and value startups today?
