I have a Heyuan IOT-L2S-F1&F2 sensor (LoRaWAN Class C, RS485 with Modbus/DL-T645).

My setup:

Heltec gateway in LoRaWAN Packet Forwarder mode pointing to TTN.

Other nodes (Dragino LT‑2222 and EM500-PT from Ursalink) connect without issues.

The Heyuan shows up in TTN as “never”, and does not send any data.

I have tried ABP and OTAA, checked DevEUI/AppEUI/AppKey, but it still won’t connect.

Any advice or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated.

  • What region are you in? According to the datasheet I found, the device seems to be 915 MHz only, which means it only works in a limited number of regions. Commented Nov 14 at 22:27
  • has anyone got it working? ... what use is a yes answer? ... what about no? ... both answers are valid ... please ask about the problem, not about people's successes and failures Commented Nov 15 at 6:41
  • I'm in the US915 region (905–928 MHz). My other LoRaWAN sensors work fine on this same gateway and TTN setup, so the region matches. The issue is specific to the Heyuan IOT-L2S-F1/F2 Commented Nov 15 at 12:59
  • "I'm asking because I want to understand if the device actually works on TTN with anyone’s real-world setup, or if there’s a known limitation with this model. The device does not even attempt to join, so I'm trying to determine whether the issue is configuration, firmware, or region restrictions." Commented Nov 15 at 12:59
  • You say the device is not even attempting to join, did you actually check for transmissions? Not received does not necessarily mean it doesn’t try, if there’s a mismatch somewhere. You could use a method like that described here to check if the device actually transmits anything. Commented Nov 15 at 21:25
