Feature request: Could the new design be made more compact?

It's the second time that the new UI makes the interface less compact: Display density: how about a compact view?

    Yeah this is 4k screens getting mixed in, that's why they make everything bigger now. I had the same issue when we were forced to "upgrade" to a new theme for the ancient UI toolkit we use (technical debt to the max), it quadrupled all the padding and margins and doubled the font size to what it was before. It looked great on a 4k screen but on a regular HD screen it was scrollbars galore :/ Commented 2 days ago
  • @Gimby There are CSS media queries for detecting a hi-res screen. (Also, browsers are supposed to fix a particular DPI for the CSS pixel, but they don't always.) Commented yesterday
