The Redstone Monstrosity, a boss in Minecraft Dungeons.

A boss is the strongest type of enemy in Minecraft Dungeons and Minecraft Dungeons Arcade. The majority of bosses have a unique name, minions, significance to the lore, and their own arena. A mission either features one boss or none at all,[note 1] with the exception of Obsidian Pinnacle in Minecraft Dungeons, which features two, the Arch-Illager and the Heart of Ender. There are eighteen bosses, five shared by Minecraft Dungeons and Minecraft Dungeons Arcade, seven exclusive to Minecraft Dungeons, and six exclusive to Minecraft Dungeons Arcade.[note 2]
