Minecraft 24w21a added a new feature to the pause menu called "Server Links". Apparently, server can use this to add their custom text label containing website link into the pause menu. Server now can also modify built-in link too, like the bug report link in the pause menu.

Here are some showcase images about the server links (grabbed from slicedime's youtube video):

Those were added in 24w21a, not 24w21b. 24w21b just fixed a single bug and was uploaded a few hours after 24w21a. - CrowdingFaun624 (talk) 02:49, 23 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
Oops, sorry! I was reading the changelog from minecraft.net blog, and it only mentioned 24w21b snapshot, not 24w21a. Fixed. Outrowed (talk) 06:18, 23 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Bedrock Edition pause menu image filename changes

[edit source]

The image filenames of the Bedrock pause menu screenshots are all over the place. Some of them are vague, less readable, and may be misleading. I propose changing them to be more consistent and better.

Here are my proposed changes:

  • 072Pause.png → Pocket Edition Pause Menu v0.7.2 alpha.png (consistent with Pocket Edition v0.7.2 alpha)
  • 1207Pause.jpg → Pocket Edition Pause Menu 1.1.5.jpg (see 1.1.5 and 1.2.0.2 comparison below)
  • For File:Game Menu Bedrock.png, this is used to showcase the 1.13.0.13 pause menu, and currently it may be mistaken as the pause menu for the latest version. I'll specify the 1.13.0.13 version.
  • Game Menu Bedrock.png → Bedrock Edition Pause Menu beta 1.13.0.13.png
  • Bedrock_1.17.30.20_Pause_Menu.png → Bedrock Edition Pause Menu beta 1.17.30.20.png
  • For File:Minecraft_Screenshot_2022.08.07_-_14.18.44.28.png, this is the worst contender. I'll instead upload a new one taking from the 1.21.30 with neutral skin and username. No version will be specified in the filename as its intended to be updated with future versions.
  • Minecraft_Screenshot_2022.08.07_-_14.18.44.28.png → Bedrock Edition Pause Menu.png

As for how I got these specific versions and changes (i.e. how the hanger icon below the player skin changed to "Profile", changed to "Dressing Room"), you can actually make out the changes from the title screen of the specific versions. I found out that some of the title screen button elements matched the pause menu buttons. Of course, this is just an assumption, I also verified them too via YouTube videos showcasing these versions.
