I've read the questions discussing the differences among electrons, muons and taus. However, I am perticularly interested in their anomalous magnetic moment which seems not to be discussed in previous questions.
I wanna ask: What makes those three particles so different in $g-2$? As far as I know, electron $g-2$ has been tested to extremely high accuracy. Muon $g-2$ calculation contains some more modern methods like lattice QCD, and remains a not perfectly unsolved question till today. For taus, the precision of matching theory and experiment is only to $\sim0.001$
I have learned that different masses make heavier particles more sensitive to strong/weak interactions. Are there any more detailed and heuristic explanation? Also, people seem to be not so concerned about tau $g-2$. Why is that? Is it because it is so difficult?
